I think a new face would look better.

Its awesome you actually got a early sculpt though!

A new set of teeth will definitely make it look better. I like how it looks now though, so it's just personal preference. :wink1: I cannot wait to see this thing put together. :clap

somehow, the 1st sculpt" reminds me of those early Alien designs, and Prometheus Creature :lecture

I definitely see the resemblance there, especially certain angles of the overall head shape in the front & mouth. Put the same type of teeth in there and you almost can't tell the difference, when not seeing the back of the queen's head.

thanks glad u'all like it. YEs i definitely see the resemblance there, i guess this is a different lifeform of a Xenomorph, looks pretty unique.

im still thinking about change the face? or maybe not, depends on the budget.

definitely getting sharper teeths

:hi5: Very cool. I was just showing my wife all your posted pics and she couldn't believe the size of the queen. She liked the story about the emails and history too. :wink1:

yeah, she stand atleast 16 feet tall, see the old pic below, when we testing outside

only 5 exist in the world, most of them are incomplete, according to the source, this is a Ancient Replica 1993, adjustments and paints are all done by me. :)

:lol YES, that is the picture I showed her earlier. Amazing stuff and your dedication to fix her up is wonderful. The paint work alone has made a huge improvement. This is quite a project and I gotta hand it to you, it's coming along very nicely. At this rate the final reveal is going to be something spectacular. :wink1:

i was curious on the queen face too, so i did some research and contact Bruce Hansing-who worked in the film. very experience on Aliens.

heres the message from Bruce,

"Great work.
Yes my friend Nick and i were contracted by Fox to make 5 Queens from the original moulds at Pinewood and their warehouse, there were 2 head moulds, the one you have is the first sculpt, cameron asked for a second more detailed sculpt which we used. Distortions got the moulds after we had used them but with the intial sculpt for the head mould. Looks like you are doing her justice, big old girl.
Good luck"

Now i know this is the first sculpt before the movie version, which is pretty unique, i got one big old girl...Lol

Had nice talks with Roman Güttinger, the movie prop collector from EUO.

Roman has many 1/1 figures, very impressive collection, one day i would like to visit. He also own a Life size Queen alien, i show Roman my Queen WIP pics, videos & confirm it’s the same scale… different face…, i do like his face better, both Queen are from the Movie mold, Mine r from the 1st sculpt. i think the only thing i wish to change are the upper/bottom teeths, and new set of long back spikes, more aggressive details, lets see what happen from there....after new parts!

you can visit this video link to see his collection, great guy with amazing props!

Can't wait....

There used to be a video on youtube showing the Roman Guttinger's collection. Too bad he is clearly lacking of space to expose all that he has...
