I was fine with the Part 2 versions, but the show is gonna have me much more interested in these and the quality alone is gonna make the set a must have.

I thought I read that these are technically from the flashback in the second game. Is that correct/why the winter outfits can’t be included or am I just talking out of my ***?

It was but now because we got the PS5 remake version which updated the character models to fit LOU2 we might very well be getting the winter gear also.

Now you made me curious. What do your kitbashes look like?

My favorite parts of these figures nowadays is I had Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker sign the base plates for these figures at two different conventions (you can see Troy Baker's signature in the photos in that post, but I hadn't met Ashley Johnson yet).

When I showed her these pictures on my phone of the Ellie figure, she loudly said "Oh, F*** YEAH!" It was very, very Ellie of her! :)

I would seriously consider buying two sets of Ellie and Joel figures if the winter outfits were available. I'd like to show both looks on these if I can.

I'm in the same boat. Would probably buy 2 sets if Winter clothing is offered. Probably do a snowy diorama with some snow weathering on the figures as well.

First off - good lord these sound like the premier gaming figures I've always wanted. I'm incredibly hyped.

Are we looking at a potential two pack here? Obviously you have thought through the number of variations you can deliver these as, but a nice deluxe two pack with all the parts you want to include seems like at least one release you could do.

Are you considering selling your bodies separate as well? I think you could fill a really needed niche in the market which Worldbox only is filling right now.

I also close with another thought/suggestion - what about a slim release like Asmus does? I imagine there are plenty of folks like myself who'd go all out for the deluxe über editions, but need somewhere for the alternative outfits (without wanting to buy a full new figure). Much the same, there are folks who would buy something, but are looking for a limited, affordable choice. I feel like a slim version could cover both of those audiences.

I hope they come with two headsculpts so I will be able to use them on the CC ones

Standard and Deluxe versions are beign considered yes, something like the 1/12 versions, standalone releases with only a few accessories and a flat surface base with the logo and then a deluxe double pack with sculpted bases, more accessories and winter clothes.

Woooo. I'll be buying a deluxe for sure. This is gonna be an incredible release.

I think the show is great, but at times it feels too familiar and I wonder why I am not just playing the game instead.
I get that. But, when the game adaptations start to deviate from the games to be different or original, they've basically already lost IMO. We've seen it time and time again and it just doesn't tend to work for general audience nor the gamers. Then you see the many comments that say something like "just make the movie (or show in this case) like the game!" which is nearly exactly what HBO has done here and it seems to be working.

Just look at Uncharted. Even with starting with a younger Drake, they still probably could've just went ahead and made Drake's Fortune and followed the natural story telling of the games with some tweaks here and there. Instead, they basically started off with elements of UC3 and mashed them with their own story, plus they added in Sam who we don't actually see until UC4, if I remember correctly. That movie was awful just as the many video game adaptations before it b/c of the deviation from the games.

As for TLOU show, I'm still not on board with their change of no spores, but, fortunately, the rest is good enough so far so I guess it's fine.

And to stay on topic of this thread, the show continues to make the want for these original game figures to grow more and more. Sure, I'd like some of live action versions eventually, but we definitely need quality ones from the game first and foremost. And Lim seems to be up to the task based on what we’ve heard so far
