Okay! I was going to bring my copy of this baby to SDCC this year and corner Dusty and Chris and other webteam members as well as anybody else I could manage. But knowing how "shy" Chicky is in public, never thought I'd have an even remote chance to get her auto.

Yes, please Chicky, sign mine before it's shipped if not too late? I still plan to bring this and stalk the others. :D

For me, it's not about who's famous, etc. It's about a company -- the WHOLE company, not just the artists -- who have given me pleasure in not only their products but in their interaction with their customers.

Jeez, I'm actually embarrassed to be a sculptor right now. The complete lack of respect and appreciation being shown for these folks (who, as Dusty said, are THE blood in Sideshow's veins) is just staggering. Anyone out there who thinks this book is any less worthy because of the absence of the sculptor signatures is clinically insane (ok, maybe just incredibly under-educated.... but insane sounds better).

Dave, good analogy.... I was trying to think of something like that for my post at SF, but my brain is exhausted. You nailed it. :)

Don't be embarrassed Andy, some of us do respect everyone behind the scenes at Sideshow. I am a big fan of Greg Mowry's costumes, Pete and Quoc's packaging, and just about everyone in between! :D

Me too lcummins, they're all a very worthy bunch. Except for Scott Klauder. Nobody really likes him.

:lol

If you were looking for other signatures, let Chicky know fast, because the shipping department came asking us to transfer possession to them so they could start sending them out.

Andy, nothing to be embarassed about. You've got some serious talent. I wish I had half of that (then I could sculpt my car designs!).

Hope to see everyone who can make it at the SDCC Freaks party!

Anyone interested, email me your first and last name, Order Number for the book, online user account name, AND who you want to get a signature from - most of you know my email address I'm sure, and if not, drop me a PM on the board - and maybe we can catch them in the morning! But if we can't, we'll send you a special card :duff

I was just talking with Dusty and she said if you want her and chicky to sign please put your order # in so they can better get everything figured out. I'll be having Chicky and Dusty sign mine as well.

Well, I responded in this thread... PM'ed her... and emailed Dusty like she asked! If that still doesn't make it in time, I will just have to look everyone up at SDCC!!! :monkey5

The very first time I ever met the guys at Sideshow, I specifically commented (during my introductory 'tour' with Tom G.) that I thought the packaging for Sideshow's products was every bit as collectible as the products inside. Sideshow's packaging is actually one of the first things that even brought the company to my attention, it's always been an aspect of their product that stands out from the crowd, imo. Very creative and full of class.

Sorry for the boring anecdote, but in light of things I think it's appropriate.

Not at all boring; I totally agree! The boxes were what caught my attention on the 12" Universal Monster line and made me take a closer look at the actual products! I don't open everything as some do, so the packaging is a big part of my collection!

Outstanding post Andy! What you said there was pretty much perfect.

Yeah, if for some reason I can't get Chicky or Dusty's that's ok. I'll be bringing mine to SDCC to get Chris and a few others to sign. :)

Look at wot you dun Dusty. :horror Now everyone will be dissing Sideshow for not getting a special card. Oh wot fun. :lol Gotta giggle.

I'm sure that the people making fun of Q's name and creative contribution to Sideshow's products would have preferred that the Patient Zero figure come in a plain brown paper lunch bag.

PM'ed Dusty...really hope to get Dusty,Chicky & Dave to sign it...

I really dont care what SF has to say......I love SS, I love thier products...and I love their staff(as a whole)...I am happy with my purchase and that is all that matters to me......It seems like some people are at the best bashing others intrests....I for one couldnt be happier with SS at the moment....

I have gladly forked over $100 for the catalog and wont loose a second of sleep over it!!!!!

Same here. I bought the catalog and I am not having any second thoughts. Although I don't post here very often and don't really know the Sideshow staff very well, I would still love it if Dusty, Chick, Dave, & Andy would sign my catalog as well. That would be the icing on the cake. :D
