Just received mine. Sun has already set. Im a bit sad cause I cant really see the figure properly under my desklamp. I hate looking at figures under artificial light. Can’t wait until morning and get a good look!

Can I just say… wow. The unboxing experience and packaging design is insane. Everything feels so high quality.

One thing tho, I cant get the logo attachment or pirateflag to click into place no matter how much pressure I use. Do you think I should put them in boiling water first?

The reviewer on BBICN had the exact same issues:

the nameplate and flagpole on the platform are not the right size, so I used a knife to cut it before I could insert it.

I haven't seen anyone else comment on this.

Big Breda didn't seem to have any trouble with his set:

I tried with all my might. But got afraid something might break. I can get it to sort of stay on. But if i put any pressure or pull on the flag it just topples over. The logo wont attach at all.

Im gonna try the boiling water method before taking drastic measures like cutting the opening.

Boiling water is usually my go to option for those kinds of problems.

Try heating the part with a hair dryer.
I do this whenever I need to put on/take off hands/headsculpt.
I usually heat it for about 20-30 seconds and it has always worked for me (but you will have to test the time depending on the power of your hair dryer).

I hope you are lucky and that will be enough

I wonder, is it possible to remove all the artefacts and turn the base into a regular hexagonal shape if you wanted?

Btw. A few things i was a bit worried about were the shirtcolor, his height and pants length.

I will have to futz with it some more and see it in daylight to get to a final verdict, but in my eyes the shirtcolor is bang on. It’s exactly how I remember it being in the game. There are times in the game when it’s wet, it’s much darker. But the color Lim used is the right shirt color. Also very nice weathering effect.

I was a little shocked when I opened the box his socks were really showing. Like he has “high water” as we say in my country (meaning the ankles are fully visible).

However, pulling the pants down slightly fixes it. It doesn’t throw off his torso/bodyproportions. I just think the pants are pulled up a bit high out of the factory. So it doesnt really seem like much of an issue. Just a futzing thing.

The body is very tall, he has tall legs. I saw on a few forums people say his legs look unnaturally tall. They don’t. As a Dutchman I’m used to seeing people that are tall, and Drake looks perfectly in proportion to me.

Looks like Mike Yuan weathered and touched up Nate. Looks good but I don't like the dark color on the boots as that should be brown.

Glad you like it, as far as the title plate I do think it is a tight fit but from the feedback we've received it's not something a lot of people struggle with. The mast for the flag could be an angle thing when the base was assembled at the factory, because again we haven't seen or heard many people struggling with it. Also you probably could try removing the adjacent bits on the base if you're brave enough but it would likely result in damage if you don't do it carefully, so if you do try it, keep that in mind.

On the topic of Nate's height, yes he is that tall and his legs are also that long in the game, he is a very tall man in Uncharted 4 compared to the other games, and also really big, hence the need for a new body. I think a lot of people think the figure is taller than it should be because in the game he is always leaning forward with his legs bent. If people replicate this pose he would look more like he does in the game. It's funny how we tried very hard to replicate his height from the game and people think it's wrong but the OneToys Kratos for example is much bigger than he is meant to be (Nate is 6,2 and 2018 Kratos is 6,4) but people think that heigh is accurate, it just goes to show how people have an established idea of how a character looks like in their mind which rarely matches the actual game model. The same can be said for clothes and colors, but I understand those since everyone has different color grading in their TVs/Monitors and it's hard to scale down clothing to 1/6 scale while still having to make it functional and in scale. Especially Nate's henley which is meant to be tight so his physique needs to be perfect and his arms need to be switched out without hassle so we couldn't make the sleeves long or it would be impossible to switch them. We also improved the collar as much as we could on the final product and made sure the seam lines on the sleeves did not interfere with his body shape.

All in all, for a simple outfit, it was still very time consuming to design everything to look right hand and like you said futzing goes a long way!

These are not LIM's boots, ours are accurate to the game down to the patterns on the sole.

Which could be the same boots used by Eleven for their Logan sets.

I'm assuming that Lim sculpted accurate ones. I'm also glad to hear the pant length can simply be fixed by adjusting where they lay.
Yes im pretty certain Kai reused his Logan boots for his uncharted figure. They are inaccurate.

I can’t lie, I never checked Nate’s height but always thought he was a short king. lol I love figure being tall and large, on pictures his proportions look just right. Can’t wait to see him in person! :monkey3 :violin
