These are not LIM's boots, ours are accurate to the game down to the patterns on the sole.
You can't see the soles in the image. They look the same but yes they are wrong though Mike tends to repaint certain areas of gear like the boots. Here it looks like he repainted them darker which isn't accurate to Nate's boots in game. Though you're not wrong Lim did a great job with the boots. That was always my biggest issue when making a custom U4 Nate is the lack of accurate boots ever made.

I can tell by the way the laces are sculpted and thickness of the soles that those are not the boots that come with LIM. I think @Mr.E Is bang on with his guess that they belong to Eleven's Logan but it looks like they were repainted.

Since those Logan sets' release several years ago, those boots have been used at least a few times for other figure sets including a Hannibal Lecter, amongst others. I know for a fact that they've been released in a darker brown as well as black.

Any who! Random tidbit of useless information...

Yeah that's exactly what they are. Not a bad option but thankfully Lim did a great job and finally some accurate boots.

On the topic of Nate's height, yes he is that tall and his legs are also that long in the game, he is a very tall man in Uncharted 4 compared to the other games, and also really big, hence the need for a new body. I think a lot of people think the figure is taller than it should be because in the game he is always leaning forward with his legs bent. If people replicate this pose he would look more like he does in the game. It's funny how we tried very hard to replicate his height from the game and people think it's wrong but the OneToys Kratos for example is much bigger than he is meant to be (Nate is 6,2 and 2018 Kratos is 6,4) but people think that heigh is accurate, it just goes to show how people have an established idea of how a character looks like in their mind which rarely matches the actual game model. The same can be said for clothes and colors, but I understand those since everyone has different color grading in their TVs/Monitors and it's hard to scale down clothing to 1/6 scale while still having to make it functional and in scale. Especially Nate's henley which is meant to be tight so his physique needs to be perfect and his arms need to be switched out without hassle so we couldn't make the sleeves long or it would be impossible to switch them. We also improved the collar as much as we could on the final product and made sure the seam lines on the sleeves did not interfere with his body shape.

Perception of height is contextual and is exacerbated by visual media often intentionally cheating heights. Nate doesn't really feel that tall because his entire supporting cast is just as tall or taller. He frequently shares the screen with Sully and Sam, who are both taller than him, and the shortest villain is probably Rafe, and even he's 5'10. Other characters like U2's Flynn clear 6'4. I think there's an argument that Nate is meant to be pretty average in height, he's just mocapped by a guy who isn't. Whereas I think the opposite is true for Kratos. I don't think Kratos was scaled down for the reboot for actual artistic or realism reasons, I think it's just because they cast a guy to mocap him who is 6'3. I think Kratos is still meant to be bigger. Like, in a universe where these two characters crossed paths in the same game, I don't think we'd wind up with a Nate who is only two inches shorter than Kratos, you know?

I still appreciate the effort to be as close to the game model as possible, though. It's the right approach to use the objective numbers than to get into subjective arguments about intent.

Opening this box is a real event. They give you so much, you really get your moneys worth. The sturdy box cover which becomes the backdrop feels very premium, not like the thin cardboard backdrops HT does. It feels like a DX set. I would hold LIM Toys right next to HT and InArt in terms of the quality of the product, the attention to detail, the effort that was put into the presentation. Each one of their figures is like a legitimate grail.

If you ever have someone ask "Why do you buy these things?" Show them Nathan Drake and Arthur. The diorama base, all the intricate details. And once again the journal, every page in that book is filled, I need to get a magnifying glass to try and read it. Nothing was done casually. Everything was meticulously crafted. These were made by fans who love the game. Excited to see whats next.

The base was hard to put together. Definitely use a hair dryer to warm up some of the parts. I think the extra name plate should've had a magnet. I love how they literally just slid a magnet in his pants pocket to hold the flashlight. There's even a surprise in his holster. And Nathan Drake gets a metal sword but not Jack Sparrow ? 🙄

btw is it just me, or are his feet really long? Dude has some clown shoes :lol

Thank you for the extremely high praise! It's always rewarding to hear that our passion for these games and characters can be felt on the figures and we can't wait to reveal what's next.

As far as the base, we checked with the factory, the mast was supposed to be pre-assembled with the piece on the base but we had to make it a separate part to keep the box normal sized and reduce shipping costs for retailers, so it's a bit more difficult to assemble it with one piece already inserted in the base. Now that more people have been receiving the figure, it seems like some have no issue assembling it and others have warmed up the parts for easier assembly. We'll definitely keep this in mind for future figures with similar bases.

Also yes, Nate's in-game model has long shoes/feet, if there's any truth to the myth that shoe size is indicative of the size of one's manhood, Elena must be extremely pleased. :lol

Glad you like it, as far as the title plate I do think it is a tight fit but from the feedback we've received it's not something a lot of people struggle with. The mast for the flag could be an angle thing when the base was assembled at the factory, because again we haven't seen or heard many people struggling with it. Also you probably could try removing the adjacent bits on the base if you're brave enough but it would likely result in damage if you don't do it carefully, so if you do try it, keep that in mind.

All in all, for a simple outfit, it was still very time consuming to design everything to look right hand and like you said futzing goes a long way!

The effort SHOWS. I've seen people who weren't big Uncharted fans say it's a boring outfit because it's just a basic shirt & pants, & if we were talking about the previous 1/6 Drakes, I could be more sympathetic to that viewpoint. The effort to successfully miniturize the details & the fit are next level here, though. The 1/6 market isn't short of guys in Henleys, but none of them look anywhere near this good.

This figure turned out amazing. I have not played any of the Uncharted games other than the 3rd for a short amount of time, but Ive decided Ill grab this when Kit gets more copies, and will give the games a chance after I finish some stuff on my current list. Gonna be awhile though, Still trying to finish SH2 remake, then onto NG2 Black, Wukong, etc...

Finally I have Nate! It's a beautiful figure in hand. Lim you guys have outdone yourselves this is the high standard every 3rd company should strive to achieve. My only issue isn't necessarily a nitpick but is the right arm with wrist joint supposed to connect without a magnet as mine does not have it but the seamless arms do. Besides also wishing for the pants to have more length I'm happy with this.

Glad you like him!
It’s all like that. There is a magnet inside the non-seamless right arm(otherwise it won’t even stay connected to the upper arm) but different than other seamless arm, there’s a plastic cover above the magnet so it’s not visible from above :D

Ah ok I see I thought Mines didn't get one hence why I asked but glad to know it's there. Thanks Jack and R.R.X for making this a reality I hope Sully is next to pair with Nate.
