It's already gone, or it was already out of stock and he just put the listing back up. Kit mentioned that he's going to start putting up listings that may be out of stock, preparing for when it comes back in stock.
Thanks that would explain why I couldn’t check out after adding him to my cart. Was considering picking up a second Nate.

Height comparison

I had decommissioned the Kai Studios version a long time ago. So had to get all the bits and pieces from my spare parts bin lol. The expressions on the headsculpts are very similar, I wonder if they used the same reference image when designing them. Lim’s is better obviously.

Interestingly all the legs of these male figures are about the same height. The added height from Nathan comes mainly from his torso being longer.

He scales great with Lara, shes on a seamless body thats a bit taller than for example Poptoys Xing and she has boots. Canonically Lara is only 1,65cm or so.

well if you talk about realism and accuracy Lim Toys win. but Kai's sculpt has that Nathan smug face that stands out.

so whats your plan with the kai eleven set?

Throw it back in the storage bin. I accidentally ripped the pants, the henley is totally inaccurate color and small. His holster i think I used for a Leon kitbash once.. no idea where it is. I could use the boots and body for kitbashes. I don’t really like the headsculpt either. But if you want I’d be willing to sell you the head 🙃

Im pretty content with the Lim sculpt. Its charasmatic loooking enough for me.

Just opened mine and I’m absolutely blown away by this figure! Lim toys left no stone unturned, it’s the perfect Nathan Drake figure.

Unfortunately looks like mine has a couple defects 😕 The left arm and hand has paint scuffs and the hair on one head has a small part that looks like it’s missing paint. Hopefully I can get these parts replaced, but I’m worried the left arm isn’t removable like the magnetic one.

hope you get a new head and full arm. looks like this guy wont last the test of time, which is normal for painted rubber body.

The body is really good quality and more hard plastic than rubber. I imagine I just got unlucky with a couple factory errors

Sorry about those defects on the arm and hand, contact Kit and we'll sort them out for you. The arm can be easily removed after you heat it a bit, and then you'll be need to heat the new one to insert it as well.

As far as the hair, that's not a defect, it's how the sculpt on it is, but the light reflection is making it look like it's chipped or missing paint. If you inspect closely I'm sure you'll see the paint on it is fine. You can see in the picture bellow the reflection is causing the same effect in the exact same spot you have in your picture.

The arms are not rubber/silicone, they are plastic and the chipped paint was probably caused during figure transportation at the factory.

oh so the seamless wrist has no movement at all? always though such arms are soft materials.

btw care to tell us how the arms were painted to look realistic? were they hand painted or machine painted?

It doesn't, these type of seamless arms are one solid sculpt but with no wrist articulation so the figure looks more realistic. They are mostly hand painted and some details like veins are printed, the same applies to sculpts and other parts.
