I listen the crap out of those tapes and CD's... Those were my favorites growing up. No I listen to pretty much everything and have nothing that sticks out like they did.

Great choices, Tom. I love Amiee Mann. And I'll listen to anything by Johnny Cash. "At San Quentin" is one of my all-time favorite live albums.

Nice to see someone else who has actually heard of Aimee Mann! I had tickets to see her in Anaheim last year and I had to miss it because my wife got sick.

I don't think there's ever been a better recorded live crowd than the San Quentin album.

I think all of her music is great, but her first album is still my favorite.

Johnny was amazing during this show. Too bad you had to be locked up to actually be there!

Well...my turn...:maul
1.Black Sabbath - Heaven & Hell
2.Manowar - Hail To England
3.Helloween - Walls of Jericho
4.Gamma ray - Land of The Free
5.Iced Earth - The Dark Saga

Yeah, good choice! My wife and I got to see her and Michael Penn's accoustic tour at a small venue a few years ago. Very cool.

My wife and I saw the Michael Penn/Aimee Mann Tour in 2000. What a great show that was. The high light was when Michael did the jealous boyfriend speech during Voices Carry. If I had a sixth choice it would his album Resigned.

I saw Aimee right after she went solo - I think it was at the Roxy or Troubadour, but I'm not sure.

Top 5:

John Williams - Superman The Movie
Kate Bush - Greatest Hits
Clannad - Greatest hits
Radio Sunnydale
U2 - Joshua Tree

Being cool is overrated...

Go on then...

1 Replicas/Tubeway Army
2 Never Mind.. The Sex Pistols
3 Setting Sons/The Jam
4 Oasis/Be Here Now
5 Appetite for Destruction/Guns N Roses

PS Seen em all Live.Lol

Great choices Dave. I really considered that Kate Bush album as one of my top five as well.

The Jam/The Style Council/Paul Weller solo so much great music. I had no idea so many freaks had great taste in music as well.

Yeah. I have all the original SMiLE sessions from 1966-67 (about 7 hours of music) and cut and spliced it into an album (modeled after the Brian Wilson version).
:D

Very cool. I have mixed feelings about Smile, a few really good songs but a few that are just plain stupid (such as Vega Tables).

As for Aimee Mann, I like all 3 Til Tuesday albums (love love love Voices Carry) and love both Lost in Space and Forgotten Arm. I think I like her with a bit more electricity than Magnolia and Bachelor 2 offered( which I found boring). What are her older solo albums like?
