Yeah - because what Sideshow are doing now (a-la-P2 maquette) works SO well :)

.

Yes, because they understand that they can't make everyone happy on any piece. So they don't try to. They put out what they feel is the best product they can. If some people don't like it, then they don't like and don't buy it. But they let they're designers do their jobs.

Are we agreeing or disagreeing - I'm SO confused :)

I agree..you can't ask everyone for their opinion because there will never be a true consensus and at the end of the day they have designers etc to go over all that with anyway…now if its something glaring (like the P2 maquette head like some1 mentioned) it would be nice if they could briefly modify it to be more accurate to what it is attempting to replicate. This is different than the conan issue, as my main issues with this was 6 months after orders are taken, they announce at random that they aren't going to modify heads, but entirely change them…a fair reason from a customer perspective to voice their opinion. I don't know if there is one right way for this process to be done, but PCS and ARH are tolerating the "feedback", and I can say, specifically with the ARH conan the sacrifice piece and with the PCS Robocop piece, they both ultimately changed for the better...

Hot Toy's does this too.

Would a change such as altering Thor's non throwing hand be worth enough sales to be worthwhile? I think it would. That piece should have had a much higher ES. But they are throwing so much product at us that maybe one version doing less than maximum capacity is no big deal to them, and they will capture those sales elsewhere.

That Modern Thor I think will be a sort after piece in time but I really like it so I guess I would think that :lol

This was unexpected to me too. I was hoping they'd continue the Justice League and go Flash or Aquaman. I hope they do release all the big seven at least, Martian Manhunter or Cyborg for the 7th would be awesome.

Manhunter for the Big 7. These are the classic JL PFs not new 52. I'll never count Cyborg as a founding member of the JL. As a long time comics reader he will always be a Titan to me. I loved all those Wolfman & Perez Titan stories and he'll always be a founding member of the Titans in my book.

The last time I had such a hard time passing on a PF was Gladiator Hulk. This one will be even harder to pass on. Man, I so want to cave and PO this when it goes up. I just have to stay the course. I have no room for him, he'll cost too much, and he's not on my list of must have DC characters. If I repeat this enough...I just might not crumble. :lol

Gladiator Hulk is going to be a massive space eater

Oh yeah. That's the ONLY reason I passed on him. I love the piece and think he looks f'n fantastic. However, I just have enough room for one Hulk and I need to save that space for a more modern PF whenever SSC gets around to releasing one. Lobo will be tough because I read and have a ton of Lobo comics. He's a fun character but I have to tread carefully with DC pieces. He won't really fit in with what I have in mind for my collection. But damn...he looks great. The dawg and COH will make this a bitter pass.
