This could EASILY kick off SSCs SDCC event. DC didn't have a single statue go up for order last time, and this could be an amazing shot along with say CatWoman. We know Marvel has a New Thor PF (most likely comic) in the wings, done and ready to go, and 3 New Hulk PFs at least sculpted. I can't imagine DC wants to get pantsed again by Marvel at SDCC.

This statue may be the sleeper hit of the DC line in a few years. It could also be a good companion to something like a Deathstroke down the line.
the main man looks amazing! expected it to be good but not THAT good!

Statue looks awesome. Luckily, I know nothing of the character so have no excuse to spend money on it.

Lobo looks cool, not Awesome but cool..hope there is a switch out portrait with more of a comic feel. Him holding something in both hands kinda bothers me. Stance looks odd too, yet I will reserve all judgments until I see official released pics

Funny I was saying in the Marvel thread that I was probably done with DC after WW but I never expected SS to make a character like this, I'm excited

It's easier to swear off Marvel than it is DC.
DC has too many icons to ignore and the sculptors seem to be primed and excited for the DC stuff. The Marvel license just doesn't excite me when it comes to Sideshow.

I think DC has better villains as a whole.
Now that the Trinity is all set and the Joker has already been released, the next PF on my most wanted list is Deathstroke. I want that piece in the worst way. There just isn't much merch out there as far as that character is concerned. A kick @$$ Slade PF would just be all kinds of awesome.

Oh man, yeah. And think of all of the switch out weapons that PF could have. A sword, staff, rifle, knife, gun, etc...
Man, the wait on Slade has me all in knots. I so hope we see him sooner rather than later.
Of course they are. Both companies have great villains and heroes. I like the Marvel characters a bit more. With DC, I tend to be a big Bat-verse fan. The only villain I'll buy outside the Bat family is Darkseid. With Marvel I'm looking for 6 specific villains...Red Skull, Magneto, Apocalypse, Green Goblin, Thanos, and Dr Doom. Those characters can easily stand next to any DC villain.

Can't really use movies as an example for that.
I know BR, that's why I'm hoping SSC jumps on the Slade bandwagon and gives us a PF soon. As much as I like other characters in the DCU, Slade has been practically ignored in statue form. The only piece I can think of is the Koto Deathstroke. That hunk of plastic just doesn't cut it. I personally hate the new 52 costume. Give me a classic 1/4 Deathstroke. The only other costume I like is the Arkham Origins Deathstroke. I'd be over the moon happy to see either one (or both) of those made as PFs.

I am sure Slade is coming sooner rather than later. The connection to the TV show, video game, Teen Titans, Young Justice, etc. is just too hard to ignore.
From your lips to SSC's ears buddy. I know that Slade has a strong connection throughout the DCU but he's been ignored by just about every company. Even DCC has yet to release a Deathstroke statue in any form. The fact that the Koto Deatstroke is the only statue of the character is mind blowing to me given his ties to the DCU and popularity. I hope you and everyone else who says he's on the way is right. It is now officially my most wanted DC PF.
I'll now turn this thread back to it's regularly scheduled programming. This Lobo PF deserves the attention it's getting. Martin and the Gore Group just never cease to amaze me with their work.
