I definitely understand. My two favorite superhero characters growing up were Batman and Wolverine. Spider-Man was always a close third. Something about those characters I'm sure, resonate with "dudes" because of their many themes and typical male tropes that are relateable in fiction.
Even though X-24 is technically not Wolverine, it's still Hugh Jackman. And that's a good enough reason for me to want the x-24 sculpt.
I'll admit, I was somewhat upset when Dougray Scott was cast as Wolverine for X1, but at the time I was willing to give it a shot. It's not like us fans really had a choice or even a voice on the internet back then. Then all of a sudden Hugh Jackman was cast and at the time I thought a 6 foot leading man type is no where near what I had in mind for Wolverine. But over the years Hugh Jackman won me over.
Despite all my own personal qualms about what I think Wolverine should be, none of it really matters in the end. There are younger generations now who don't necessarily look to the comics for their version of Wolverine. Instead they'll look to Hugh Jackman. Even though he's done with the character, he's embedded the idea of who Logan is into the minds of the general audience. And I can't complain about that. Especially when you've got a guy like Hugh Jackman who gave as much as he did to the character over the years.
And you can't deny his passion for the character as well. We as comic book fans are soo lucky that he was willing to give the 17 years and that he cared that much to finally get it right with Logan. He always voiced his need for wanting to do Wolverine justice. Although personally I thought he finally had it down with The Wolverine and Days of Future Past. Logan was just icing on the cake.
So yeah I totally understand!
