:rotfl I had asked the seller to give me the numbers from the bottom of the busts. He replied and said that he bought these in Europe and they are not from "Roadside Collectibles" :rotfl

In his defense, it is possible that he didn't even know Sideshow even existed until people starting asking him if they were fake.

He eneded it eraly so he could sell it!!! I replayed to his cocky comment with a Mean ass Direct to the Point Email! so he knew i meant business. What a douche!! and thanks to ebay we cant warn the buyer cause we cANT ^^^^ing see who he is!!:monkey4:monkey4:monkey4:monkey4

sent him an email asking for details etc on the piece.
If he is recasting these even if we couldn't stop him this time , if enough scare him he probably wont try it again ( or at least on ebay ).

That's not eBay's fault. The seller chose himself to make his auction private because he anticipated people like us warning the bidder. That's how you can tell a dishonest seller, he's obviously trying to hide something, in this case the bidders' identity from people like us who would otherwise warn them.

There's not alot we can do though except report it to Sideshow or Fox as they are the rights owners. Only they can request it's removal - eBay arent gonna remove a listing just cos an Average Joe (like you or I) asks them to take his word for it.

crappy paintjob.. cheap recast ,i don`t own this bust but i `ve seen it in person .. i don`t think that we can do anything with them , this thing with the recasts must stop .

Surely ebay can do something though :huh
How would they know it was a recast though? They're not experts. And who are we to claim it's fake? Only Sideshow or Fox (the rights holders) posses the power to request the auctions be removed, not some Average Joes behind a keyboard.

Well they needed to know anyhow
You can tell them, sure...but it's Fox or Sideshow that they'll listen to though and believe quite understandabley.

If eBay acted upon every Avergae Joe's report that an item was fake, there'd be nothing on there - some people report items they know arent fake cos they have a personal vendetta and are simply trying to get revenge for a past sale gone bad or are rival sellers trying to eliminate the competition. It's happened to friends of mine. The safest bet is to only take reports from the rights owner (Fox or Sideshow).

This guys crazy..... :lol

Dear Tay,

Dear UK,

Two things. 1st, whoever recast that has some mad casting skills. That could not have been easy to do. 2nd, the final product piece from SideShow doesn't look nearly that good either. I've seen several and they all look MEH to me.

This has to be a knockoff, but who really knows who made it. Most recasts in my experience have originated in Europe or China. No offense to those countymen, but it's true.

Well I reported it to ebay anyhow

I'd be surprised if they do anything. eBay is full of recasts of model kits and such. This is just one of thousands. Paint aside, it is a nice cast, at least in the photo. It's most likely to be hollow. $600+ is way too much for that. If it were around $150-$200, maybe it would be such an insult to us collectors. It would make a great customizing kit if somebody wanted to paint it themselves. At least he didn't say in the auction it was a Sideshow piece.
