one could make a career out of analyzing lost just on the basis of what we have already seen...........not to mention another career guessing of what is to come based on what we have seen........:google

i can not think of another show off hand in the history of television that is so entrically twisted........including all the lost sites on the web. and talk about taking a dive into the pool of fanatics....go into the top 3 lost websites..........this toy forum and our allegiances to a particular brand x 20 couldnt hold a candle to them whackos :lol......for love of/enthusiasm/fanaticism/dedication/devotion etc etc that lost fans have to this show.......:D

p.s. ...........i love this ^^^^ing show !!!!!!!!! :rock

As much as I love this show I can't help, but fear that the ending is going to be something of a let down. This show is just one big, long build up to what's eventually coming. I hope in the end it's worth the ride.

finally managed to watch in the uk just now. awesome as ever but.... i have no idea whats going on :lol well i do, but it dosent make sense.

Such is the problem with mystery stories. You either like the payoff and reveal or you don't. There's no pleasing everyone.

But I would caution against putting too much weight on the finale. It's all about the journey, not the destination. The beauty of shows like Twin Peaks is that they contain far more interesting and entertaining things than the McGuffin, 'Who killed Laura Palmer?'

I think there will be some inevitable backlash to the ending, but once all is said and done, and you look back at the series as a whole, it will be clear what a finely crafted, intricate story Lost is. I'm very happy I've been able to watch this show unfold as it aired rather than seeing it on DVD.

Good points, the show over all has been great. But to me it seems that so much mystery and so many questions requires a good denoument, and not necessarily in the finale, but in the final season, or even the next few seasons. At any rate my biggest concern with the finale being a bit of a letdown is that the longer the show goes on the more anticipation builds up. I fear the anticipation and expectations may be higher than is possible to meet. On the other hand if it does meet or even exceeds expectations that's all the more impressive;

I loved the ending of the Sopranos. I thought it was very smart and fit with the tone and themes of the entire series, but some people can't deal with unresolved, open endings. I'm glad they went that way rather than a boring Tony dies or Tony goes to jail type of resolution. Besides, Sopranos wasn't a mystery story. Lost has to give answers but the truly interesting aspects of well crafted stories are not the resolutions but the transformations.

I havent really payed much attention to this thread, but i have watched lost from the very beginning and watched through Season 4 on Blu-Ray with my brother the last week before the Season 5 premiere. In episode 9 Ben wakes up in the desert in Tunisia with the Dharma Jacket he wore when he turned the wheel and "moved" the Island in the Season 4 finale, the first thing he does when waking up is to check his arm,and he is cut that he got from the wheel room when he falls off the ladder. So basically he transported himself to Tunisia when he turned the wheel...cant wait for the next episode!

Its just strange that Ben alone transported himself to Tunisia while the rest of the people on the island was just going back in time, and still on the Island!

Dont care for scrolling through 200 pages,so if this has been mentioned before i apologize :)

Now does anybody have the smoke monster figured out?

I believe it's Hurley's dad...

Anyone think that Myles, is Marvin Candles kid? When Candle wakes up his wife says it's your turn to take care of the baby. Being that we know that Faraday was already on the Island and hints that Charlotte was from there also, perhaps Myles is as well?

Interesting thought--- He's able to speak/see the dead due to being on the island (he'd be about the right age) just as Hurley can after being on the island.

Could be. What were the hints that Charlotte is from there? I can't remember them. Also I was thinking that Faraday snuck into the cave during one of the island's time shifts.

When Daniel returned to ferry a second group to the freighter, he told Charlotte and Miles that they should be on the next one. Charlotte initially complied with this, until Miles asked her why she was willing to leave so soon, after trying hard to get back to the Island again - implying that she has been to The Island before. Charlotte later told Daniel that she was not going back to the freighter, because she was still "looking for where she was born."

hey guys, i was just thinkin of my own theories and thought i would share
What are the possibilities that the island is atlantis? sorry if this has been brought up i dont want to read through all of the posts,
and who has played prince of persia 2 warrior within?
what if its an island of time type deal, and the smoke monster is like the dahaka or the guardian of time? possibly?
or atlantis is an island of time and the reason no one has fould it is because it keeps moving through time
and the others and these misterious characters are like atlantians? or something along those lines?

Today brings more Lost.

Oh yeah.

But is this the past, or the future? Bwahahahahhahhahhahhahaha

Anyone wonder if Clancy Brown will make another appearance this season?
