The actress playing Charlotte looks exactly like the actress that played Ben's childhood friend Annie. She's too young to be Annie (no last name given), unless time travel is afoot, but perhaps the love child of Ben and Annie?

Damon and Carlton previous stated that Annie is a character that is going to play a "huge part" in upcoming storylines: "Annie is going to prove to be very significant in Ben's life," and that even the island's volcano will be "slightly less important than Annie, but still seismic."

I figure the island will melt down at the end of the series, due to the volcano and other factors, Fall of the House of Usher style. :rock

I always thought Annie was related to Kate somehow - aside from the freckles, her mom's name is Diane, which could easily be shortened to Annie.

I've heard others say that, even so much that Kate is Annie, but I don't see how that would have any interesting payoff or revelation at all, esp that there have been zero hints or foreshadowing that Kate has familial relations to the island at all. Might as well have Hurley or Sawyer's dad be a former dharma worker, or that actually Ben is Hugo's dad. Just not interesting with any point to it, imo.

Just found this, I know it was hinted at when Daniel was wearing Dharma gear, but it looks like the losties left on the island join the Dharma Iniative

this was shown on lost:behind the scenes before the season 5 first episode, check it out :rock gave quite alot away actually. it shows all the oceanic 6 back on the island by episode 11 i think, unless i was high, which.. i may have been :dunno

The island has a volcano?

Yup. In addition to many clues about it throughout the series, Olivia Goodspeed tells us that the island's volcano was once active. Plus the producers confirm it in the quote above.

And why introduce that if not for a payoff later? Volcanic destruction of the island/loss of magic? Would certainly fit with The Tempest thing they've got going on.

Yeah I bet you're on the right track with that. I like the idea of a "Fall of the House of Usher" ending.

ALSO, does anyone know if Season 1 and Season 2 will be getting a Blu-ray release anytime soon? Just wondering, if it is going to be a while then i'll just buy the first two seasons on DVD (only ~$30 each isn't too bad). But if they are coming out soon then i'd rather way.

I just wanted to bump this to see if anyone knew anything about this.

EDIT: Just found this: https://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Lost-Seasons-1-and-2-on-Blu/11129

So sometime in 2009 then, prob in December when Season 5 is out.

Big spoiler about Charlotte's family background--we will learn later this season that she was born on the island, along with her two brothers:

One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong...

Almost de-hots Charlotte pictured next to those 2 cretins.
