I'm on the other side of the fence with the kid issue, if they are going on a plane they think is going to crash on some crazy ass island why would they bring the offspring? Unless you're talking about them being willing to leave their kids in order to go said crazy ass island from whence they may not return.

If Ben isn't really that bad of a guy then maybe he's just making it look like he killed Penny to get back at Widmore. If Ben really is a bad guy he probably did go try to kill her. I think Ben's motivations behind his actions is one of the mysteries I am most excited to see solved.

Maybe the woman who was taking Sayid and the mustache guy are members of the Others and that is why the island grabbed them too.

Good points, Agent0028. I agree with your assessment regarding bringing a child to that wacky island.

So does it appear that most of our gang is back together again on the island but circa 1970'ish time-frame, in the Dharma camp. Which would mean that they could very well be present for Ben's birth. Would any of them try to "alter" that event, even though Faraday said that history couldn't be "changed"?...

Or are they together in the Dharma camp during the time that Ben is planning his mass murder. Would any of them try to "alter" that event, even though Faraday said that history couldn't be "changed"?...

Claire's mom is the most likely person to have Aaron--Kate knew she was in town and could have returned to the hotel and told her the truth. She only had a few hours to get him taken care of and this makes the most sense.

Unless she ate him! Or hid him inside Hurley's guitar case...

Whatever she did, I think she got so turned on that she hopped right into the sack with Jack, just in time for her to fill the role of the pregnant woman on the doomed flight.

I also think that Kate brought Aaron to Claire's mom. That was what came to my mind when I saw her without him.

I'm betting that Aaron was put in the casket with Locke, for the flight...

Security checked the coffin and that's where the suicide note came from.

Plus, ABC would never lock a kid in a coffin and stow him away on a plane set to crash on an island. That's too much.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Essentially they've got this mother abandoning her child.

I still say "someone" is in the casket with Locke. Either Desmond or Aaron...

Or...

Jack will end up finding the casket empty, once again. (perhaps even seeing Locke one moment and then he's gone the next, similar to how Jack would see his dad initially...) The scenes where Jack "wakes up" on the island is eerily similar to how he originally "woke up" on the island from the first plane crash. He's dressed almost identically as well... That's got to mean something...

Good one regarding Kate filling the "pregnant girl" role on this flight, Tom!

Security probably worked for Ben, as does just about everyone else... ;)

The casket would be quite a safe place if the plane were to crash...

I would immediately start buying stock in Microsoft if I was them!:monkey3

Good theory I read on Lost Talk:

"I thought Sayid was in handcuffs because they were trying to make the plane ride as close to Oceanic 815 as possible. He was the ajira version of Kate. That's why Hurley had a guitar (something of Charlies), and Ben ran on to the plane late just like Hurley did on 815."

I think that's fairly obvious and doesn't really qualify as a theory. The question is, who was addicted to heroin in the bathroom? :D

Also, a buddy of mine and me were talking. He is re-watching Season 1 again, and the 2 dead bodies in the cave, they had 2 stones with them, 1 white and 1 black. He believes that they are Rose and Bernard. We haven't seen them since they were attacked ealier this season....When Fogert or whatever his name was killed when the arrow got him...

Perfect foreshadowing for this show. Makes sense.

The skeletons have a black and white stone because Rose and Bernard are black and white?? I don't think the writers would go for something like that. Locke was seen with the black and white stones twice - once teaching Walt about backgammon (there are 2 sides, light and dark) and Claire's dream when Locke had 1 white eye and 2 black one. Besides, I don't think that would be much of a pay off for the skelies to be Rose and Bernard. Jack and Kate would be a more interesting pairing, or Desmond and Penny even.

I'm thinking that they will be stuck in the Dharma 70s until Aaron is returned to the island.

I'd forgotten about Ben's mom dying - that was a nice touch - he can't help lying.

Good one, I was wondering what role Kate would be filling.

It was great with Mrs Faraday/hawkings said Ben was prolly lying when Jack asked :lol
