I just read this one:

The plane did not crash, we see the flash as the plane starts to experience turbulence (the flash meaning another time shift). The survivors then appear on the island with no injuries, no blood (they did have injuries/blood from the first crash). The theory is they flew within the bubble of the island and the island captured the survivors and took them back to the island. This could also mean when Jack asked Ben what happens to the other people on board, and Ben says "Who cares?", is because the plane won't crash.

Just another theory I read.

Personally I don't think Ben knew the plane wasn't going to crash, he really just didn't care what would happen to the other passengers.

Never occured to me that Ben might have gotten his injuries by attacking Penny and/or Desmond. That rat bastard.

I figured Sayid being in handcuffs did have to do with recreating the original crash, but I wonder who that woman was and how she caught him. Clever way of Ben to not just get him back to the island, but to also recreate an aspect of the original flight.

So, when the island moves in time is it also moving in space? Does its location in space determine what time period the island is in?

But, if my memory serves me correct, you saw the chick who had sayid in handcuffs in the preview for next week and she was on the island talking to someone, i think.

My wife was a step ahead of me and caught that he was going for Penny as soon as he got up to leave the church and mentioned going to see a friend.

The actor's name playing Mr. Moustache on the plane is Said Taghmaoui--and the woman escorting our Sayid on the plane starred with new Said in the movie Hidalgo. The producers of Lost must like that movie, so I now have high hopes for a Viggo Mortensen cameo on Lost. Said Taghmaoui was also in Traitor, Vantage Point (with Matthew Fox), The Kite Runner and Three Kings--in which he played a character named Said.

So who thinks Ben killed Penny? I think they will lead us to believe that but end up sparing her.

I knew Ben was going after Penny when he left the church. But I hope he failed and Desmond beat the crap out of him.

I loved Frank's reaction when he saw the Oceanic 6 - but I do believe the plane is fine and the 6 just disappeared in the flash.

So, what time period did they all end up in? At the very end of the episode you see Jin wearing a Dharma Initiative jumpsuit and driving a DI vehicle. I don't know if this is supposed to be obvious to me, I'm so confused. It's like trying to untangle Christmas lights with your mind.

Next week's episode should, by all accounts, blow my mind. Locke!

I think they dumped Aaron just so they wouldnt have to deal with filming another kid on the island... also, why in the crap would Sun leave her baby behind. Who the heck would do that!?!?!

From the looks of things, more than just the Six end up on the Island. Sawyer and Juliet's group found Ajira Airway items at the beach camp in one of their future flashes, and the woman escorting Sayid is seen talking to Zombie Locke on the beach in the preview for next week's episode (which can't get here soon enough). And if Said Taghmaoui's character is recurring, then I assume he ended up on the Island as well.

So anyway, Desmond's mission didn't seem to accomplish much that wouldn't have happened anyway...

lol, agreed. Who wants to film a 3 year old for the rest of the season and drag him about the island?

Poor Jin isn't going to get to see his daughter--but it sounded like Sun wanted Ji Yeon and Aaron to meet and hang out. Maybe they will end up together with little Charlie Hume for some playtime.

Speaking of babies, how did Dr. Marvin Candle of Dharma end up with a baby of his own on the island? And like Charlotte, did that baby leave the island at a young age and ultimately return? And is his name Miles? And did Eloise AKA Ellie the Other from 1954 give birth to Faraday on the Island as well, making all three of the Freighter characters natives of the Island? And who did Eloise sleep with to get pregnant? Someone else we saw at the 1954 Other camp? Which could make Desmond not only Daniel Faraday's constant but also his brother-in-law?

"We're not going to Guam, are we?" Best quote of the night!!! :rock :rotfl

I still like

"How can you read?"

"My mother taught me."

Agreed-- as a parent I don't get that motivation at all...

It could simply be that they felt they could return home again some day. Since Aaron wasn't Kate's to begin with, and she was told not to bring him back, she probably gave him to Claire's mother.

Biggest question of the night for me was "Where is Aaron"? Sure seems to me like Kate killed him but that seems WAAAY to dark for the series.

I hope Desmond beat up Ben, before he got to Penny. But, Ben is a bad ass. Remember when he moved the island last season, he wound up in the desert and took care of those guys right away....

Also, a buddy of mine and me were talking. He is re-watching Season 1 again, and the 2 dead bodies in the cave, they had 2 stones with them, 1 white and 1 black. He believes that they are Rose and Bernard. We haven't seen them since they were attacked ealier this season....When Fogert or whatever his name was killed when the arrow got him...

Perfect foreshadowing for this show. Makes sense.

Also, who wants to bet Locke winds up in the same place that Ben wound up and where the Polar Bear wound up after he moves the island....?

Sun wants for her daughter to have a good life. Living in that wacky island would not be it. I figured she left her with grandma for safe keeping.

Perhaps Ben did NOT go for Penny... Perhaps Kate gave Aaron to Desmond & Penny for safe keeping, knowing that they would be hard to locate on their boat. Ben figured it out and tried to get Aaron in order that "all" of them could return to the island, as instructed. Desmond beat him up but Ben was able to take Aaron after all. I'm betting that Aaron was put in the casket with Locke, for the flight...
