The final season will begin on ABC Tuesday Feb 2.

Really?

Tuesday night....strange. I first started watching LOST with Season 3 and I can only remember it airing on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Did Season 1 or 2 ever air on Tuesday?

LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!!!!!!

Vague TBD date in 2010 can't come soon enough.

So....Locke's back is the only one who's turned...hmmmmmmm

Or is that Fake Locke, my brain hurts

I'd imagine it's still Locke, it's just that his body's been hijacked. Not sure exactly the technical definition.

Possessed??

Reincarnated??

Reanimated??

I cant wait for the Complete Series on Blu. I still hope they do a companion book that outlines as much as they see fit and adds/expands on the characters. Like apparently Ecko was supposed to have a longer arc, and Libbys past.

Yeah I am still bitter about that. AAA (the actor who played Ecko) wanted to be written or killed off the show because his mother was ill and he wanted to go and care for her.

I don't know is he asked to be killed off or if it was the writers idea. But if they really wanted to continue his story, they could have had him disappear for a while and then return if and when AAA was willing to come back. But AAA probably didn't want to make a commitment to return as he had no idea what would happen with his mother, and in what time span. You cannot get mad at him for that though, family takes priority over filming a TV show.

I'd read he'd become increasingly difficult to work with. Putting the pieces together, it looks like he had a lot on his mind at the time and was probably irritated that he had to stay in Hawaii. But, I've alsso read lately that he'd like to give it another shot, so chances are better than slim that he might turn up this last season.

I've been watching the series from the beginning now, and I think I'm gonna start a list of all the things they've let slip by, and the top of my list is; Hurley owes Walt $20,000 for the backgammon game. Hurley says "You'll get it".

I listen to the podcast and their version was that he stated well in advance that he did not want to be a series regular but was willing to do one complete season and a few additional episodes so that his character's death would not be a typical "finale death."
Who knows? :dunno

I still think it is the theory of those arrested for drunk driving are the ones that get killed off shortly after. Ecko, Anna Lucia, Libby, Jin (he was thought to be dead, so maybe they forgave him), etc.

Henry Ian Cusick got busted for something (sexual harassment?), but I doubt they'll ever kill off Desmond. He's a fan favourite.

I read somewhere that AAA wanted to leave the show to work on a movie in his home country, and that's why his character had to be written out so quickly.

The drunk driving myth is just that - Michelle Rodriguez came back, Cynthia Watros has been repeatedly asked back (she's declined), and Jin's offscreen "death" barely fooled anyone. The creators are way too hardcore about their story to change it because :horror an actor behaves badly.

According to Lostpedia (if you believe it as a reliable source or not) it states that: After a successful year of integration into the Season 2 cast, Adewele asked to be written off the series after losing both his parents in 2005.

Everything I have read related to him leaving seems to have something to do with his family one way or another.

I read that whatever the family issue was, that it is arose between season 2 and season 3. He told the producers before season 3 started that he wanted to be written off, and he would agree to come back in season 3 for a few episodes to finish his character's storyline before departing the show.

Ah, that makes sense. They were probably intentionally vague about his family issues when discussing it on the podcast.

Meh. I don't own a single season on DVD. Waiting for the big Complete Series Blu-Ray pack this time next year. :rock

Just started re-watching season 5 and man is it amazing in Blu-ray! Anyways, I never noticed that the first shot in episode 5 starts with the clock going from 8:14 to 8:15. Haha, I miss so much when I watch tv shows the first time.
