If I remember correctly, that guy heard the numbers from a broadcast off the island. It's reasonable to assume that whatever happened in the timeline either blew up the island before the guy heard the broadcast or something was affected to prevent the broadcast from happening.

Boo. Would have liked that one in a spoiler tag. :(

Normally I'm pretty lax but since they're filming the finale now maybe it's time to ditch the thread....

Not sure what post you're referring to but I agree. Keep the spoilers out! Let's make the most of the few episodes we have left! :lecture

The way I see it, if it says spoilers it can be about anything. I mean we put "SPOILERS" in the thread titles for movies coming up and it's referring to things to come not things that have happened. If it's already happened it's not a spoiler.

...I thought we went over this already...

Sadly there isn't. Spoiler threads are always tricky because there is grey area on exactly what spoiler threads can say and what they can't. I always take spoilers to mean up to and including the latest aired episode and nothing beyond. Then you can use the spoiler bar for things beyond that.

Again, I think the "spoilers" mentioned in the thread title should be a warning for those who are not up-to-date in their LOST viewing. For example, I have friends who are just watching season 5 on DVD right now. Obviously they wouldn't want to be in this thread at all!

I personally don't have any problem with people expressing theories and I like to do it myself, but seems courteous to use the spoiler bar for any info about episodes that have not aired yet (and in fairness, it is not difficult to do... just one click will do it!) If I have misinterpreted the thread title than let me know and I will re-evaluate whether I want to discuss here. And then if I decide to stay, I promise I will stop complaining about minor spoilers, like the stuff ABC makes public.

:peace

Plot spoilers suck...

I'm going to bow out of this thread for the last few eps in May, after the repeat Richard episode 4/27. I luckily managed to avoid the big flash forward reveal that swept the web and all subsequent plot leaks. I wager they've filmed multiple "endings" as they did with the coffin reveal, but I still want to avoid any rumblings and rumours, possibly spoiling what I've been waiting 6 long years for.

As they are now filming the finale, I think I also want to start avoiding potential spoilers. If anything leaks, I don't want to know about it.

I don't mind seeing the official press release, but there are people out there who go into message boards just to hit fans with a drive-by posting intended to spoil the fact that Snape killed Dumbledore, etc. I don't want to come across anything like that if the finale does indeed get spoiled.
