I reckon that in the end that Sawyer will be the one who is left on the island to keep MIB prisoner. I think something will happen that will make him choose to stay so others can live. Just like when he jumped out of the helicopter a couple of seasons ago.

I think the show will come in full circle. Jack will become the new Jacob and swayer will benthenone stuck on the island and replace MiB. If they don't go that route I still think Jack will be the one to replace Jacob.

I would be shocked if Sawyer becomes the new Jacob. I agree that it will most likely be Jack if it's gonna be anyone.

I think it'll be ...

Jack and his sister..I just have a gut feeling that MIB and Jacob are siblings and will be replaced by siblings.

No. If it's claire I will officially throw in the towel.. That would be way stupider than anything George Lucas has allegedly done to destroy Star Wars.

I'm just afraid that the ending will just fizzle. I think in our minds it will be this amazing revelation and it'll just be The Phantom Menace all over again!:lol

I'll take that minus Season 2....Season 2 sucked
My mind is so Lostifried that I could not tell you which season is which, much less which epi was in what season.

I have never understood the people who hate on Season 2. To me, Season 2 is what sepeated the fans from the casual viewers (not being petty and stating that you are not a "true fan" though). It was the moment the shows mythology took shape. It gave us the Dharma Initiative with their crazy hatches complete with food drops, crazier orientation videos and craziest (and greatest) yet, Desmond. It gave us the "button debate" which brought with it a device that tested Locke's new found faith and rebirth every 108 minutes. The does it/doesn't it debate regarding the button was AMAZING as a viewer, and watch Locke struggle with the issue in the later part of the season was just amazing.. right up until the moment he lost his faith completely.... that look on his face as the hatch started going crazy.... priceless (and he never lost his faith again.... ). It gave us the Talies, which I personally loved. Even Ana Lucia. AAANNNNNDDDD, it gave us Ben!!! The Henry Gale issue was brilliant. Is he "One of Them" or who he says?.... yeah... never gonna get the Season 2 hate....

Season 3 did lose a little umph towards the beginning (back when Darlton was telling ABC they needed to set an end date otherwise they'd have to keep treading water before they can start wrapping up the story). But I didn't mind the Hydra Island/Cages story at the beginning of the season... it was more the ridiculous flashbacks (most notably, Jack's tale of the tattoo in "Stranger In A Strange Land"). But the back of Season 3 may be the best the show has ever been.

So for the people who think it may be Jack vs Sawyer or Jack vs Claire left in the end. Are you saying that MIB will take over Sawyer or Claire's body. Or that they will become a new evil to be contained?

Also at the begining of this season we saw that the island was submerged under the ocean. For the continuation of good vs bad on the island this has to be prevented. How would this affect the other reality?

There was a time when I thought that Sawyer would replace MiB, but that has long since past. I mean, come on. Sawyer as the embodiment of EVIL? Claire? Seriously? The em-BODY-MEANT of EVIL? (emphasis and misspelling intentional)

Nah. MiB won't die or be replaced.

I am not usually one who likes to read Entertainment Weekly, but the newest issue has a bunch of good reads about LOST in it.
