I'm so glad that they managed to fit in a final Ben/Widmore confrontation, and it was great to see Rousseau alive and well in the other timeline. Zoe being called pointless and getting her throat slit was a kick in the pants. (Not my favorite supporting character.) How many times have we seen Ben get his face smashed in by an antagonist over the years, and it was yet another beatdown that stirred his memories. I thought that was amusing. I was also surprised that they got right to the point with the candidate/replacement and actually showed us all of that before the final episode.

I'm sad that it's ending, and I'm sad that Richard is apparently going to spend the finale in a neck brace after getting tossed out of the barracks. I really want to see what happens when Desmond gets everybody together at Charlie & Faraday's concert...

Yeah, I really don't understand Zoe's role. The actress explained earlier that she's important to the overall mythology. . . or something like that, the point was that it was a small yet pivotal role.

I got a kick out of why Kate's name was crossed off. . . Jacob saying "You can still have the job if you want it". . .ultimately the whole game is pointless??? haha.

Some if not most of that list has already been answered or are simply "who gives a rats ass" kinda questions.

Example:

Why was Libby in the same mental hospital as Hurley? What's her deal exactly? Why was she in Australia?

Who cares?

Great episode last night.

I do think there was one important aspect to Zoe...at least to her death. I mentioned ages ago that I thought Smokey killed non-candidate types when they were no longer of any use to him. For example, he used Ecko until he figured out that Smokey wasn't his brother, thereby making it impossible for him to manipulate him further, and he killed him.

Last night, he kills Zoe immediately after Widmore tells her to be silent, and then tells him something to the effect of "you told her not to talk to me, making her of no use to me". I think that when we rewatch the show, knowing that he can't kill candidates and that he kills pretty much everyone else if they aren't useful to him will explain alot about Smokey's actions.

I also agree that Jack's 'ascendency' was a tad too easy and obvious. Jack's personality also doesn't match with the task at hand - he's a doctor in both realities (and probably others), who is someone that helps others. (I loved Sawyer's God complex comment). Protecting the island and killing smokey isn't really a good match. There's a reason Sawyer is a cop in the other reality, and I think Jack is going to end up dead or otherwise unable to do the job and Sawyer will be the one left on the island.

There are some things I hope we get an answer to, but it's mostly around Smokey and what threat he actually poses and how Desmond is going to trap or kill him using the sideways world. I don't think they'll leave us hanging on either count, so I'm pretty satisfied at this point.

Regarding the whole Widmore / Ben thing. I can't remember , but was it explained exactly why Widmore was looking specifically for Ben when the search team was on the Island? I can't seem to remember anymore. Also when Ben told Widmore a few seasons ago that he couldn't kill him , or something along those lines, because it was against the rules??

Ben Banished him from the island.

Ptu, you have tell the media what you did, I'm sure it's a record.

It sure is I think! I started watching LOST in real time :)lol) starting with season 2. I bought the DVD of season 1 and watched that in 4 days just before the second season premiere. Of course I was still in pharmacy school back then, so if I had more time I'm sure I could have pulled a P!tu. :rotfl:rotfl

one thing that it looks like it wont be answered and i would like to know is Why was Claire's baby special that she Had to raise him and no one else.

One thing I didn't like was Ben seeming to join MiB. I liked that Ben's character had found redemption and it bugs me to think that he is going to try to pick off the remaining survivors.

I also felt bad that Richard was killed like a chump. :(

Other than that this episode was 10/10
