Very good Tom. I don't know that I would've put all that together, but it seems to make perfect sense.

Loved last night's episode. Locke is my favorite character and I love getting more info on him. I still want to find out what is up with the 'others', why they act like they do to outsiders and why only a few are selected to be apart of them.

I think this "magic box" is somehow responsible for bringing certain people to the island. For instance, I think that's how Ben was able to bring Jack (a surgeon) there to save his life. Not to mention everyone else on that flight who appear to be there for a reason.

I liked last night's episode, but I find the magic box thing a bit silly, even for LOST. I lean towards Locke's dad being on the plane already and the Others got him or something moreso than he popped out of a magic box.

I have to agree that was a bit silly, unless in reality they are really all prisoners and part of some criminal rehabilitation program where they are in a comatose state and being mentally reprogrammed? Then whatever they imagine can pop out of this "magic box" , they would have control over their own thoughts? That's my last theory!

My wife and I have decided after last night's episode to just watch and not try to come up with any theories.

Another possibility is that Locke's dad wasn't on the plane, but somehow joined the Others in the four years between Locke's accident and the plane crashing.

I would wager its completely possible that the writers and producers or whoever is driving this train may not know that yet.

Last nights show was pretty good. I don't really care for Locke much. There's been several times this year when I've wanted his butt just totally kicked. However, I enjoyed getting to know more about his back story and I kind of saw the Dad being in the room thing coming.

Whatever happened to Rose and her husband? I don't remember them leaving or dying or anything...

They are just ever so slightly off camera. :p

I wouldn't have gotten the connection to Locke's dad and Sawyer, did I miss something?

I think that the black box has something to do with Zippy, and we know that one of the next few episodes charts the Others connection to Dharma -- perhaps an invasion, take-over to control this "power?"

I DID notice the whiskey, I am getting better at those things. :lol

One thing's for sure--if Ben was born on the island, then The Others AKA The Hostiles have been there far longer than Dharma. With all of the technology and housing and equipment being taken over from Dharma in the purge, I really wonder where Ben and his parents were living before Dharma set up shop on the island.

I got so bored with this season somewhere around episode 9 that I stopped watching it. It really Jumped the Shark when Sawyer confessed his love to Frekles. It's 24 and The Shield from here on out for me.

You wanna talk about boring? 24 Episodes of Kiefer "drop your weapon" Sutherland. UGh.

Well thanks Tom. I guess I don't need to watch any more, that all actually makes great sense.

It's been a lot more interesting in the past couple of episodes, but still not an "appointment" show for me like it was.

And I think old Sawyer is definitely Locke's dad, otherwise the kidneys wouldn't have been compatible.

It's Sutherland not Sullivan and Jack would wipe his ass with The Others and the Smoke Monster. This show jumped the Dharma Shark.

:lol Damn! I was thinking of something else when I wrote that!

But you are still crazy if you think this show "jumped the shark", Lost has been craziness from the beginning and things only make sense in small portions. That's what keeps people (like me at least) tuning in, that there are always new questions and mysteries popping up.

I wouldn't expect a Kurgan to understand though, I know you guys have very short attention spans and if someone isn't being beheaded or something blown up you guys go into A.D.D. mode. :D

This week's episode really went quick. I got used to those long and painful flashbacks. Im going to miss those slow-paced episodes. But atleast we're getting some answers!

Did anyone noticed Jack's new tatoo?

I noticed, but I wasn't sure if it hadn't always been there. Maybe he got it from the magic box.
