Outside of the Fellowship I want Saruman first that would be cool.

I want him in PF form badly so I hope the 1/6 is a long way down the road since I doubt they will repeat soon.

That sounds fantastic--give us GtG first, then Saruman. They'll look fantastic together, and GtG also works with the other Fellowship members. I can't wait to finally see those robes done in 1:6 scale, which I hope they do first because I don't collect PF figures. I want a big collection, just like the Star Wars fans have, and the Gandalf-Saruman duel is on the top of my short-list of wanted figures. Imagine an Orthanc environment, with Saruman's throne and the Palantir in the center--too big to be feasible I guess, but wow what a display that would be!

Any new 1/6 announcement will be welcomed, but I would love a GtG with robes, bag, belt, scabbard, sword, pipe, both of his staves, hat and the exclusive would be the dragon firework. Then Saruman with robes, belt, staff, pedestal with black palantir and alternate eye of Sauron palantir and the exclusive would be his book with the Balrog illustration. Maybe a Ringwraith next if they can sort out the armor/no head issues. They can then unveil the new small body and go on to the Hobbits starting with Frodo of course. And I want them all announced before xmas 07. That's not too much to ask is it?

HAHA! That sounds GREAT Entropy. As for the 'no head' issue with the Ringwraith, couldn't they do a wire treatment sewn into the hood, sort of like they do with the Jedi robes and the Elvin cloaks...only thicker and stronger to keep it up without the head, but still allow it to be a bit poseable? Just a thought...

Sideshow, you know you want to! Those are FABULOUS suggestions, some of the best yet! And technically, just as Gandalf gets a new staff, he also gets a new outer cloak--though it's clear that Sideshow is a little wonky when it comes to LOTR characters and the cloaks they come with (or don't come with....).

I think some of you guys over analyze things. SW is not LOTR. To hold LOTR sales to the same standards as LOTR sales is ludicrous. Thats like calling a local musician a failure because they don't sell to the same standards as Nelly Furtado or something.

The collecting base for SW is a bohemoth compared to LOTR. You can't hold the standard of one to the other. To do so is to introduce great folly.

no one compared them to SW. i don't think they have to sell comparably to SW for SS to release new products.

I wonder what the next figure will be. Since GTW is the next PF I'm assuming it won't be GTG (yet anyway.) Gimli would be most welcome, as would a Ringwraith or the Witch King. So many possibilities.
