Didn't the podcast say that we'd have info in the next couple of weeks from BOTH lines?

Definitely hoping it's a 12" Fellowship Boromir. I'm still hoping that Sideshow will provide us with the full "Fellowship Nine" first and then the rest.

I'm with ya there Alex. I'd like Sideshow to do all 9 Fellowship members in the same attire when they set out from Rivendell. And, then move on to other characters that haven't been done in polystone:

Faramir
Denethor
Mouth of Sauron
Isildur
Gil-Galad
Elendil
Prologue Elven Warrior

(to name a few)

I really wanna see some Prologue characters, and wouldn't mine if SS did them after the "Fellowship of the Ring" members.

:)

I personaly don't want the Fellowship to be the first nine. I want some other main characters spread in between. I will welcome all 12" and PF LOTR items with open arms!

That's the spirit. :)

For me, I'm not doing any P.F. , as much as I'd like to buy everything, I have to draw the line somwhere. I have hardly any room left to display stuff as it is, and I have over 60+ pieces of polystone now, and will have close to 70 when I am all done. So, I am more then happy with my SS/Weta collection.

After that, I am just gonna collect the 12" line, and hopefully some characters I wanna see done make their way to us.

The only difference between a pre- and post- Fellowship Boromir is the elven cloak vs the black Gondorian cloak as he doesn't get a golden belt gift from Galadriel in the film, right?

I think Boromir's exclusive would be three arrows to attach to him similar to how the T-1000's "bullet holes" will work (which still hasn't been explained).

If it isw Boromir I can see why it so bloody long. His costume has to be nightmare to design. More so if he's a 12" (please, please, please).
Oh and BTW we really need a Boromir (and/or Faramir) smiley.

Keep in mind that delays will come when they have to design new body types for the hobbits. But I agree, there is a lot of detail if Boromir's attire. I hope it's worth the wait.

Didn't SS say the full fellowship won't be out one after another? Which would make sense since we probably won't get the Hobbits/Gimli so soon and they'd have to move on.

I've never heard that but I came on board after Strider was announced so it could've been before.

I found this one on the net

I'm really hoping it's not a PF, can't afford those kind of purchases atm. PF Boromir would be too tempting to pass upon.
I think (and hope) it's a 12" Boromir.

Of course I would have thought that Saruman or Gandalf would have been relatively simple costume wise so they could have always done them to speed up the release rate.
Their costumes aren't as simple as you might think. Gandalf the Grey's outfit is a ridiculous amount of layers, I remember reading how much less complicated the Gandalf the White costume was by comparison. No matter how you cut it, most of the costumes on the 12" figs will be complicated, because if I remember correctly SS was dedicated to producing the outfits down to the very last layer, making Boromir one of the more complicated undertakings (assuming he's a 1/6 fig and not a PF).
In that case maybe his exclusive will be the Lothlorien boat so you can strip him down for his funeral voyage? But then he'd probably cost a bit more than his regular edition, a la Han Solo.

Nice solve, Buttmunch!

So that's it? We really know who the next 12" is gonna be? Finally.

It seems anticlimactic somehow...they don't even have a smiley of Boromir.

We need a sneak preview.
