Starwars is Dead for now! Get over it!

As I said, I don't ascribe to the pop culture bandwagon religion. My love for SW is as strong as ever, regardless of what the top 10 charts say.

I'm getting into old Japanese films, lately, such as Seven Samurai and the Lone Wolf & Cub series. They're far superior to any of that crap that flows out of Hollywood's ass these days!

I see it in my sales at my job at work too! Starwars ranks 3rd behind Marvel (1st) and WWE (2nd)

Statistics can be misleading. I (and many others here) don't spend money on Hasbro anymore. I've moved on to Sideshow and Master Replicas.

Hmmmm interest isnt there right now for Starwars (because there are no movies to hype it)

At least not for the mass market, but for those of us who want it more, it has never been a better time in history to collect SW. What other licensed property has sheer breadth of high end stuff from 1/6 figures to statues/busts and prop replicas? I'm still proud of being a SW fan, in rain or shine.

SM toys clog the aisles because there's a movie--- just as FF toys will clog the aisles soon--- and just like the SUPERMAN toys clogged the aisles ALL of last year into this year...

SM will always be big because he appeals to young kids through to pre-teen who buy the hubba of stuff out there----

But back on track... SW and SM are two distinctly different entities. Comparing the movies doesn't make much sense nor does getting involved in a pi$#&ing contest over TOYS-- but it is fun to read.

Sure he does. People (including others in the industry) blast his movies all the time. Why shouldn't he do the same? He's a filmmaker, and as person in a free society also has the right to share HIS opinion on other movies. It's all subjective, anyway.

Now you wanna talk about who should shut their mouths? Try the gazillion internet fanboys who wouldn't know how to make a movie if someone handed them a Panavision camera and a trillion dollars.

Well considering how bad SW stuff is selling since there's no new movies, to the masses, it's pretty much off the 'interesting' chart now.

Marvel stuff is selling pretty good here. I tend to think Lucas was joking but if he was serious, then he's full of s**t.

SM, SW, Terminator and Aliens are pretty much all silly movies in their own right.

Though I'd have to say the SM series kicks the Prequels ass, no matter what fanboys may claim. 1 'alright' SW Prequel movie can't beat 3 enjoyable SM movies.

So far, Marvel's pretty much the way to go, for now.

Raimi likes to put silly in his films. I believe that he would consider it a compliment. I really liked SM3 but I love all of the movies. I also enjoyed the SW prequels and the OT. All are "silly" if you really think about. It is a matter of opinion and Geaorge has a right to express his.
BTW Bruce Campbell is a big chinned god among little boys.
