Luke Is Shipping!!!

I called Fedex. They have no idea where my Luke is or why he wasn't delivered yesterday as originally scheduled or today as rescheduled. They can't confirm his location "at this time" and they don't know why he hasn't been scanned since arriving in Bakersfield (one hour away from me) thirty-three hours ago... :

Why are there so many people saving their EXCLUSIVE and buying another reg Luke to open?

Collecting madness? Yes, I suffered from this well-known disease too. 3 3/4 inch figure madness since 1990. I finally gave it up in 2000 for my 12" collection...and now I have boxes upon boxes brimming with carded figures of every variation that I no longer get excited about, nor do I ever really enjoy them...plus they take up a tremendous amount of room. To make it worse, the 3" hype is over and I can't even sell them for what I bought them for in a lot of cases.

If you're really planning to sell your EX editions, do it while the hype is hot. Otherwise, you'll be carrying around those darn boxes for an eternity.

Good news for you savers -- I'm opening every EXCLUSIVE I can get my hands on.

I will admit that I was a MOC junkie and just opened my SS Blackbeard figure about a month ago after having him caged for a long time.... and I have to say I am SO HAPPY I did open him. He is so much cooler with all the weapons on him and attacking my Pirate Spawn figure. I do believe all my 12" SW figs will now have to suffer the same fate.

But at least you know its out there somewhere and you'll probably get him before SS starts shipping again late next week.

That freakin sux Tom....after all you generosity how could your Luke be missing.....so much for karma....

I just opened my Luke and his hand just fell off...nothing to worry about....this figure goes way beyound what I had expected...I cant really find anything I dont like about Luke...he is one of my best SS 12"ers......I am not sure what it is about all the pics we've seen that makes Luke look so surprised...when you have him in front of you and can rotate him 360 degrees that stunned look isnt really there..if that makes any sence....anyway I cant he happier with Luke...and to all who have not gotten theirs yet....he is well worth the wait

I've had shipments lost in the bowels of FedEx before too. Last entry is coming into a distribution center and this is heard from no more. It's very frustrating, but SSC responded quickly and sent a replacement.

Sorry to hear about your FedEx dillemma Tom, my GW was supposedly delivered on a Saturday, I called FedEx they had no clue what happened, then on Monday he was delivered I hope its a similar situation for you and you will be pleasantly surprised tomorrow.

Unless that was your fedex truck I raided...

Another day, no notice. They can't be alphabetical, because my last name starts with "A"; my state starts with "A"; my city starts with "C", and I placed the order an hour after they went up.

Tom - that sucks your's is in some sort of FedEx limbo. I've had a couple packages get sent to different states after saying out for delivery on the tracking page. It usually reverts back to saying it's at the sorting facility, but then a day or so later. Boom! R2 is on his way from Cali to AZ via New Jersey. Hopefully it's something simple like that.

Well, after having a chance to open Luke I can safely say he is one of Sideshow's best. My figure is just fine. Only his upper right elbow is a bit stiff, but that can be losened up easily. While I love the wire in the hood, I seem to have a hard time posing it right. The hands on my pop off with very little effort, but haven't popped off once on their own. I currently have mine holding his blaster under his cloak. I still can't decide how I want to display him. Tomorrow I'll try and take some pics of him... I could use a new avatar.

It's not safe to get on the bad side of us West Coast guys...

I have had packages diverted by Fedex before. Usually they are ultimately recovered, but I have had to eventually contact Sideshow for a replacement before. What stinks is that it seems to take Fedex forever to officially declare it lost so I can go about seeking a replacement. I will give them a few more days of course, but it doesn't inspire much confidence when you call them and they don't know where your pacakge is.
