Luke Is Shipping!!!

I kind of doubt too many Fed-Ex or UPS employees give a damn about a Luke Skywalker 12" Exclusive. Heck they probably see 12" and think DOLL anyway. I've never seen so much bitching about silly stuff as I have lately with regards to shipping boxes on pieces.

Given the trouble we seem to be having and apparently FedEx's reputation according to the earlier post...I'm thinking sideshow needs to go with a different shipper or offer a choice or something.

You guys do know that you can have Sideshow use UPS for your shipments right? All you have to do is let them know and they will place a note in your shipping file to use UPS.

They used to just use UPS. Frankly, I prefer FedEx. They have always been fine with me plus they deliever on Saturdays. Also, my mom used to work for UPS so I have some inside idea how they handle their stuff.

A good shipping company is one you don't notice. The only time I have issues is with FedEx, but I will say most of the stuff I order is through FedEx, so it's probably just a percentage thing.

I don't know if it was asked in this Luke thread, but the blaster is NOT metal. Its just plastic and Luke's hands are a little rubbery so getting his finger on the trigger is no problem at all.

Of course, you can't fit the blaster in his damaged or gloved hand. The trigger finger is molded to the other three. I may break out the xacto knife, just so I can pose him with the blaster and the other hands as well.

This Luke is awesome. I just got mine today. I think it looks much better in hand than in the pictures. I think it's the best Star Wars figure ever. I have always wanted a Luke figure like this and you can't really do one in small scale. To me they are worth it and I am glad I will have them all. I may not get all of them especially if they start doing more second string characters or variants but I will collect the main characters for the most part until they stop doing them.

Having it in hand it is even more funny how much people are nitpicking these. On Rebelscum, they are even commenting on how bad the body looks without clothes on. Is that wierd or what?

How many here didn't know about Sideshow until after the Exclusive Luke sold out? I ordered the regular edition on 11-14. My order status currently says 'Order Placed'. For those who have a Regular Verion on order, what does your status say?

I knew about SS before that but I didn't hear about Luke until very close to pre-order time. I don't even remember where I first heard they were even making 12" figures but I am sure glad I did.

No it is not a use to they still do if you want them to, you just need to let them know if that is what you want.

Wow, I've missed alot today so I'm gonna try to catch up in once quick succinct post.

First and foremost, thankyou Viking28 I was unaware that sideshow will ship UPS and am so overjoyed knowing that now! As for FedEx delivering on Saturdays...I do like that, in fact I liked that when Han was supposed to be delivered today, however, I have no clue where he is or when he will be deliverd...neither does FedEx. "Hopefully he'll be delivered Monday morning." Were the person's words. As far as FedEx vs. UPS I usually get stuff from UPS at least once a week, sideshow is my only FedEx delivery, I can't think of any UPS problems, since 2 of my last 4 FedEx shipments have gone screwy and missed the delivery date and those are just the most recent ones off the top of my head.

Well, thanks for the helpful info and I'm sorry for my first, and er, second rant. And with that I return this back to the actual discussion by answering Justin's question about when Luke sold out, which was November 18 which is when I ordered mine. My account says shipping soon but its said that since this thread started practically so...I guess that's not too much to go by.
