Mine is sitting in the Sideshow warehouse wondering when the heck he is going to be sent to his new master.

I called Fedex. They have no idea where my Luke is or why he wasn't delivered yesterday as originally scheduled or today as rescheduled. They can't confirm his location "at this time" and they don't know why he hasn't been scanned since arriving in Bakersfield (one hour away from me) thirty-three hours ago... :sick :sick :sick :sick :sick

I'll tell you where it is-sitting in a Fedex employee's house. Sideshow printed in big letters on the outside of the cardboard box it shipped in:

"Sideshow Collectibles 12 inch Jedi Luke-Exclusive"

They need to change the boxes these figures are sent in. With that writing on the outside, thats like saying "please steal the hell out of me"

Why would they do that?

BTW I haven't gotten my shipping notice yet.

You got to be kidding me?? Why can't they send them in non-descript brown boxes with only the sender's and receiver's address like everyone else? Doesn't it cost them more money to print that damn thing on every shipping box?

It's not safe to get on the bad side of us West Coast guys...

I have had packages diverted by Fedex before. Usually they are ultimately recovered, but I have had to eventually contact Sideshow for a replacement before. What stinks is that it seems to take Fedex forever to officially declare it lost so I can go about seeking a replacement. I will give them a few more days of course, but it doesn't inspire much confidence when you call them and they don't know where your pacakge is.

My wife has worked in distribution before. She told me this morning that FedEx has one of the worst reps in the shipping business for not delivering on time and for losing packages. I myself have no complaints as long as Luke is delivered today.:monkey3

Tom, you live in LA right? Why the f--- would they ship it to Bakersfield?? Is that where the Fedex guy lives? Sounds very suspicious to me.

No, You got to be kidding me!?!? Who gives a rats whazoo what they put on the outside of the freakin box!?! I kind of doubt too many Fed-Ex or UPS employees give a damn about a Luke Skywalker 12" Exclusive. Heck they probably see 12" and think DOLL anyway. I've never seen so much bitching about silly stuff as I have lately with regards to shipping boxes on pieces.

JL is there nothing you won't complain about?

I'm sure it a Fed-Ex's employee evil plan to steal Tom's 12" Exclusive.

Mines "out for delivery" so I should have it before 3 PM today if the usual pattern holds. I'm thrilled since I didn't think it would make it till Monday.

Hope all the MIA Lukes make it to there proper homes soon.

All wait and no Luke make Homer something something...

Out of all of my many orders from Sideshow, this is the first time one has ever been routed to Bakersfield. So Fedex just made a mistake, I think. I don't think they stole it. However, they just might lose it, as they have done before. I feel bad when I have to bug Sideshow and get a replacement. It's not their fault, and then they are out one Exclusive Luke that could have gone to a wait lister. Bummer...

I have to say there I disagree, I'm not sure all the mechanics involved in mass shipping like this, so maybe there is some reason they use FedEx that makes it better than Brown (UPS :p) which is my personal preference. I hope people don't think me a complainer, bitcher, moaner, whiner, or nitpicker, but I've had multiple problems with FedEx, and it seems I'm not the only one. As of right now my PF Han Solo is MIA after he should have been delivered yesterday. Given the trouble we seem to be having and apparently FedEx's reputation according to the earlier post...I'm thinking sideshow needs to go with a different shipper or offer a choice or something. :cuss

 Okay, I feel better now...

I hate to say this, but they probably use FedEx because it's cheaper. So we may save some money, but risk it getting lost more.

So far, I have been very happy with my Fedex Driver over the UPS one....I think I just have a nicer driver, but they always leave my package at my APT Manager's office - I thought I was going to have to go thru hoops with my Sideshow Statue, but he left it there too, after I left a note with Sig at my door.

Be careful taking Luke out of the Box - it is a very tight fit with the shipping box, something I would like to see Sideshow increase in size, to provided added protection to the interior contents.
