Could someone post a comparison head-shot with this photo? It looks like the same facial expression.

Anyone thought about using the enclosed stand to get the sailbarge pose to work?

Ooops! LOL. Sorry.

Yeah, I'll post pix tomorrow, but in the mean time...

My fixes were very simple. First, you have to be willing to strip your figure down to his "Behold!" position (as seen earlier).

Straighten all the joints and make sure his shoulders are twisted around to the correct side.

I used a small amount of toilet paper, folded it, and tucked it in where his legs join his hips. It fills him out nicely once the clothes are back on.

I also dampened the one-piece outfit and used a hairblower to dry it -- pressing out the fixed wrinkles from sitting in the package. Once the clothes are on, I can conture my own wrinkles.

I also used a hairblower to heat-up the boots so they would "melt" back into their original position -- no warps.

Then, I dressed him and tucked his pants into his boots to keep them from bunching around the knees.

This was the majority of the work. Its not much, but once his one-piece outfit is back on you'll see a major improvement. Then just redress carefully. Right now I have his cloak hanging just right -- I'll let that sit overnight to hold its pose.

OK, hope that helps... its also fun.

,..yeah,.. it's the same facial expression... the sculpt looks good,.. nitpicks apart, there isn't a better 1/6 scale luke than this one,...that's for sure,...

Nice pictures, all. He looks impressive, and almost exactly as he did in the pics at Toyfare. Though I'm not crazy about the expression, it's an excellent Hamill likeness.

This almost makes me wish I was still going to collect the 12 inch Star Wars line...

The reference photo you'll want to see is now posted in the new SS Newsletter. This is a film still of a hooded Luke in Jabba's Palace and served as the inspiration and expression of Luke that Mat was referring to when he was sculpting Luke and explains much (the slightly open mouth, etc.)

You can access it here:

Those crazy hips look better, right?

He looks 1,000% better. If we can only shorten his forearms alittle and he'll be perfect.

Thanks, Wooki!

Yeah, those gangly arms are a bit of a problem. They work great for POTA, not so good for Luke. I've been thinking about serious surgery -- meaning cutting the forearms, taking a thin slice out, and re-attaching the arms via crazy glue.

Of course, I hate to damage the original figure like that. Maybe in time when my excitement cools a bit and I get the guts.

Well P, wouldn't you know it. Of all my Luke pix, only the "nude" Luke managed to get posted on Rebelscum. Those scummers... :google

Well, keep in mind a lot of those guys have no experience with the wonder that is the Sideshow body. Now they can see all the joyous articulation.

These sure are some ugly figures naked. I guess I won't put Slave Leia on any of my wish lists.

Most articulated 12" figures are. You want full range movement, this is what you get. Otherwise, stick with Hasblow or statues.

Just got home to look at mine. He is very cool and looks much more impressive than he does in the pics. Well worth the money IMO.

I think the pic says it all.

:peace

I'd love to see this kind of pic done for all the Star Wars figs! Furthermore, I'd love a nice fat blow-up of this pic to be my desktop image!!:D
