The arms are a tad long but really it doesn't matter much unless you are having his arms straight to his side. As far as some at RS complaining well they have a lot of folks that are good at that.

Mine just arrived, and he's gorgeous. The arms stuck at the 90 degrees position, but I took a chance and forced them to the full angle. Made the slight adjustments to the costume (cottoned the hips, tucked pants) and he's good to go!!

Well Said Mikey! HERE HERE!!

And here is what I had to say about the matter, hunky.......:moon :moon :moon I hope I got my point across... :D

Thank you! :peace
My wife says not to encourage me. I'll start to think I'm important.:monkey3

After messing with Luke (teehee) for the past hour, I'm not sure how anyone could actually hold him in their hands and find fault. He's superb. There's no comparison whatsoever. Even She Who Must Be Obeyed was deeply impressed. I think she's actually excited about me getting these now. Luke wasn't even the figure I was most anticipating, but he's the most perfect figure I've ever taken out of the box and put on my shelf. He needed almost no adjusments, the face looks SO GOOD in person, and the cape has so much life in it. I had no trouble with the new pegs, and the costume was spot on. My Woman was also duly impressed that they put wire in his tunic.

Well said Mikey. This figure is so impressive. I can't believe anyone would still keep that piece of expensive crap Medicom produced. There is just no comparison (PS I don't own Medicom's though). I too wasn't looking forward to Luke the most either, but man he is impressive. I can't wait for others to show up. I'm tempted to take Han's jacket off and have a Tatoonie RotJ verison of Han to go with Luke. Luke needs some company now.

Well folks - I rarely post on the board anymore - and even more rare is when I give my opinion on one of our own figures!

For those coming into the fold late - i'm simply the webmaster for Sideshow and live 3000 miles away from the corporate headquarters. This means that I have nothing to do with the making or production of the pieces, and I also share your same experience of waiting. I usually don't see some of these pieces until i get them on my door step, through the exact same process you all go through.

So anyway - got mine today.

:google :google :google

This has now overtaken my Invisible Man 12-inch as my favorite figure. As a lifelong Star Wars geek, it is pretty darn sweet to have a little 1/6th scale version of everyone's favorite whiny Jedi! I, like others here, am confused at how anyone can be upset with the figure - but to each their own. Not everyone can be pleased. I've seen some of the pretty bad pictures floating around online, and as someone said above, its a much different 'picture' when you are holding it in your hands.

But I wanted to give a shout out to the production/packaging team. I think this was the first time I didn't need to fight with a twistie-tie and worry about damaging the figure! Luke was out of the box in no time!

Anyway, hope you are all enjoying yours, and I can't wait for the next one! Time to start clearing off a shelf!

Glad to hear to got yours Chris and that your pleased with it. I had no idea you lived so far from Sideshow though. You do an excellent job with the site, especially for how far away you are. You guys must have great communication. I'd also like to thank you and the rest of the Sideshow staff for visiting these boards. It really adds to the collecting experience when the makers talk to us and give us the occasional hint.

Having received my Jedi Luke yesterday, he looks like the 'awsome' pics online and not the crappy ones with real bad lighting. I also very much appreciate having no twistys at all!

Speaking for myself, I am glad I have ordered all of the Sideshow Star Wars 1:6 scale figs. I am really pumped for the Obi Wan and Han. The truly hard part now is the waiting!

I received mine today but I'm visiting my parents this weekend so I won't get to see him until tomorrow night. :sick

I'm curious how people are going to pose Luke:

Jedi style with cloak...

Just with the tunic like on Jabba's sail barge...

Or in the simple black uniform to confront Vader...

Too many choices :google

Got mine mere moments ago and am very very happy with the way it looks! The packaging was perfect and simple to open. The hands do pop off from time to time when you pose him, but that isn't really a big deal. I just took them off while I moved his arms, made it a lot easier.

The lightsabers are perfect and well detailed, making me happy. I always did love that saber design. Nice to see it so closely replicated. The only issue I have had at all is that I now have too many choices for display. Do I have him sport the cloak and tunic? The tunic only? Or just the jumpsuit? I've changed his clothing and stance twice so far and I think it's just the beginning. :google

For now I am content with the Cloak version, as I am intensely in love with the cloak and hood.. very cool. My Girlfriend loves it and is actually quite surprised at the quality and likeness. So, if SHE's happy... It must be good. :D

I hope that everyone else gets theirs soon, because this thing is best appreciated when you have it in hand! You will not be disappointed.

Today I get to celebrate my 1000th post. :fireworks

And best of all I can use it to announce the arrival of my Luke. :D

He is perfect in every way. I could not understand how others said the pictures do not do him justice. So true, his head does not appear large, he does not look surprised and his clothes don't pinch in at the hips. He is perfect. :bow Great job Sideshow.

I still can't decide either. I have him with cloak and tunic on right now because I'm not sure where to put the extra clothes (if I don't keep him like this). I like the tunic, so I might keep him like that, but I also like how he looks without it. :google WAY TOO MANY choices!! Then I have to chose what hands, what accessories, AND what pose!! :google Let us get another RotJ character so we can be aided in what outfit to put in in at least!

I received mine today as well and I have to say that NONE of the pictures I have seen do this sculpt justice. In person, the paint apps are perfect and the sculpt doesn't look like the "puckered fishface" or "deer in the headlights" as I have seen it being described. It actually kind of has a determined, using the force look. Please, see it in person before making blanket statements about the pictures of the sculpt.

I do have three problems with the figure though....stuck joints, overly long arms and too many display options. I fixed the stuck elbow and wrist joints. I can keep switching how he is displayed but can't do anything about the arms.

Anyway, I love everything about the figure despite the overly long arms. I can not wait for the rest to come out!
