A couple of observations (for whatever my opinion's worth):

1) I have a production X-Wing Luke in my office right now. It's excellent. I have it on a desk with a Sideshow Artoo and a Hot Toys Kenobi, and they look fantastic together. I've canceled my Hot Toys Luke and ordered an X-Wing Luke instead.

'nough said. Took advantage of the Timewalker Toys discount and placed my order. I've always wanted an X-wing Luke rendition in my collection and I don't see HT releasing one anytime soon. Your opinion is highly regarded here, my friend. Thanks!

With the HT luke head, this is pretty much the perfect pilot luke ANH version.

I asked Sideshow and they said if I must see production pics before it ships to me, then shift my order to a payment plan to delay shipment.

I just cancelled and took a wait-and-see approach. At the price this is, it won't sell out any time soon.

That's certainly how it felt when I got the unexpected bill.

It's pretty funny how much they don't want to update the photo gallery for the figure. I mean you'd think if they thought it was something good and that they should be proud of that they'd automatically update the pictures. Beating around the bush and basically just telling people to wait and see is pretty telling as to how the figure turned out if you ask me.

I may still want this at some point if it's heavily discounted just for the outfit and gear but it'll have to dip pretty low considering that I'll likely need a replacement head sculpt.

HT's Bespin Luke actually looked *more* like Hamill without the hairpiece. This one... not so much.
