Can the removable hairpiece from this be placed on the HT Farmboy Luke portrait? I would love to see it - these things always look either brilliant or hilarious.

wow , perfect picture , it is straight from box or with modifications ?

Just got my replacement figure.

He's got the same floppy right leg as the first one.

And the suit is coming unstitched down the side of the leg.

Maybe Sideshow's plan is to replace flawed and broken figures with more flawed and broken figures in order to discourage people from asking for replacements. :wink1:

No kidding. Jeesh. I've been with these guys since Brotherhood of Arms and Universal Monsters and I really wanted them to succeed, but man are they making it so hard with crap like this.

The very thing I said to them in the first place was, what's the point of destroying an otherwise perfect figure just to receive a new body and helmet. The suit on the first one was perfect. :slap

A question though.

This is the second figure with a body that has a floppy right leg. What are the chances? Is every figure like that? Which is how Sideshow have responded to some complaints according to posts here.

The problem is this: the right leg springs back to a neutral position if you move it to the side. If you hold the figure by the torso and shake it side to side, the right leg will swing, but the left remains sturdy.

The first body is in too many pieces to figure out what the problem might have been caused by.

It makes me wonder if there would be a way for them to just pay for you to ship the other one back and they could create "refurbished" ones out off good parts to resell rather than have people destroy even good parts knowing they could be useful. I don't assume to know why that would or wouldn't work, but it does seem like such a waste to destroy good parts.

I am assuming you will be asking for yet another replacement and be asked to smash another Luke

That sucks, Kuat. I assume you'll be requesting another replacement. Definitely ask them to check it thoroughly before shipping it.

I sent an email to the Returns Department with those photos.

The replacement I received was meant to have been inspected as per the email they sent:

Please allow 3 to 5 business days for your order to be inspected, packaged, and shipped.

I don't know whether Sideshow receive figures from their factory in the brown shipper, but it looked pretty clear that the shipper hadn't been previously unsealed.

I wish they could just send me a body and suit. At least then there would be a chance that the body itself would be checked for issues.

I looked again at the pieces of body from the first figure and think I might have worked out what was wrong with that one and the replacement.

The floppy leg issue may be fixable, so the following may be of help to others.

Looking for likely pieces I reassembled the hip joint:

That screw appears to control the lateral movement of the leg, which is the sideways direction it flops in when the body is shaken.

Presumably tightening that screw will tighten the leg.

Sorry to hear about your ongoing issues, Kuat. Mind boggling that they would't just send you the parts that needed replacing, allowing you to check them out before destroying the old ones etc. As you would have been pretty close to a perfect figure by this point (leg joint withstanding). The strangest part is that's what they typically do so not sure why they handled this the way they did. I had an R2 dome that needed to be replaced, they just sent me the dome. I believe Pixel had a Luke Hoth with a host of issues, including the body, and they took care of each part individually.

I hope they can do that this time. Just send me a suit. Though there's probably a complication with that as well, since the hose is glued to the suit, and the hose glued to the chest box.

Damn. What were the odds you'd get two defective figures consecutively. Crossing fingers that gets sorted out quickly.

I received a Scout Trooper with two left feet and a helmet with no lenses. They sent me the right foot and a helmet with no neck gasket (to connect the helmet to the neck post). Sometimes the replacements are as bad (or worse)!

This sucks. I got my replacement helmet today and the damn mouthpiece is backwards. The first one has a bad paint imperfection on the stripe of the helmet. My figure has a floppy leg and loose arm, I was going to let that stuff go but now I'm thinking of just returning the figure altogether. Such a pain.
