The proto looks phenomenal, but with HT diving into SW, I'm tempted to wait. Their sculpts are usually far superior to SS production pieces.

Same here. I'm sure ESB Luke in Snowspeeder gear will come eventually.

Yeah I ended up ordering the Hoth Luke....
Wanted one Luke and loved the ESB version. Couldn't get a good price on Bespin Luke, and it seems some think the Hoth likeness is as good if not slightly better.
Hot Toys will probably be a while before they hit another ESB Luke if they ever do again. I can see ANH Luke followed by a Jedi Luke from ROTJ.

Both recent SS Luke likenesses are far and away better than Hot Toys effort with DX07 (comparing proto to proto), we just need to see if they remain better through production.

This is a dream figure that has now been cut from my collection due to space.

See Sideshow, had you released him even 6 months ago I would have jumped and you would have had my $150-$200... now, post HT announcement, I have completed rethought my collection space and needs.

Is there a reason he doesn't have blue eyes? I think even the HT Luke has brown. Likeness is great, but lighter hair, blue eyes, and green straps would be the tweaks I'd make. Can't wait to see him. Looks on par with HT quality....so far.

Can't really tell the color of his eyes there. Wasn't it just the publicity photos that have the green straps? In the film they're more grey.

I have to say this is a remarkable likeness - only an unnatural bias against SSC would prevent a Star Wars fan from getting this iconic Luke.
