Super Freak
I would trade this one to anyone for a Padme any day of the week. Then I would just buy one from one of the flippers.

yeah exactly like SS retro spidey pf, something that I REALLY wanted on my shelf but a lot of people here ordered only to turn around and put it on ebay. IMO I have no remorse for some of you if you think that the situation with Mace is any different.
Everyone has done it, and it really doesnt matter what someone's initial "intent" is. Strip away all the BS and the fact remains you sold something for higher than retail because someone else who wanted it was willing to pay it.
All these excuses "initial intent", "long sold out product deserves market value", "not a true collector", Ive really never seen so many adults act like children. Theres a thread on RS about the age of GG collectors, and most of the people are in their 30s to 40s, yet they act like someone stole their candy.
That's what frustrates some people. I am not telling anyone what to do and more power to you if you got one and flipped it. I mean that, BUT rather than rub it in people's faces maybe the flippers should just go about their business and not say anything.
Just a thought.
But shouldn't people who are against flipping not say anything either. Believe me, I know I "rub it in people's faces" about how much I sell on ebay, but there are plenty of posts out there like Loki's who act like flipping on ebay is some sort of crime.
But take a moment to think about it. if you were not rubbing it in people faces would anyone say anything to you? Maybe and maybe not, but I guess I just don't see the point is throwing rocks at a hornets nest........unless it's to make fun of Kosmo!
I actually started doing it more in response to people who are always posting comments about how horrible flippers are, when they themselves sell stuff for profit as well. The hypocrisy of it all just annoys me. I just don't agree with the notion that if something appreciates in value over time, it is ok to sell it, but selling something that is valuable right away is not. I am not directing this at you Kit. Hell, you sold me those Transformers statues at way below market value, knowing full well who you were selling to.
Nash,
Did you even read my post? I never said you or any other flipper is "not a true collector" or anything of the sort.
If you took the time to read what I said, I said EVERYONE here has flipped stuff myself included although it was years after I bought it ( some of my WETA pieces ). Trust me, I didn't sell Sam and Bill for $150.
I also said I don't blame people for doing it. I said it sucks for those that WANT the piece, but miss out and have to pay 3-4x the price because they can't get through.
I got my Mace so i am not worried about, but there have been things I have missed out on before to someone who's only intent is to profit from it by throwing it on ebay.
I don't get PO'ed about it and call people names, but it is rather frustrating at times. I think what gets some people worked up is the attitude that some flippers take about it with an almost "HAHAHAHA, you didn't get one, but I made $300 of the one I got ".

Is a flipper coming on here & saying "wow I go $300 for this" any different than a collector saying "wow my statue is now worth $300"
No difference IMO
Collector love that the value of there piece increases but the price only increases because of flippers setting the price
Now you know what we are, now you know what you are. You'll never grow poor, Bannister, and you'll never make a loss. But you must flip!
I was inspired so I updated my signature
