Anyone knows if anyone's releasing any kind of Mad Max figure?
Finally saw it, loved it.
Missed all the "feminist" undertones, perhaps I was distracted by the fact the male protagonist saved the day a good 2 or 3 times and ended up saving the Furiosa's life... Seriously, all this "feminist" fuzz coming probably from the people who got mad a Whedon for Black Widow...
And Jye, Guitar dude was awesome
Also, you-know-who's death hit me way harder than Quipslower's.
Don't know if it's better than the 1st two, but it's at least up there, need to see it again.
I said it's not feminist, that doesn't mean it's sexist.
I don't care for figures of the characters, but I would love some sort of high-end Hot Wheels-esque car line.Anyone knows if anyone's releasing any kind of Mad Max figure?

What's with the fuzz about Max getting the shaft? They both get about the same screen time, Max gets the most character introduction and development, he doesn't get many lines but he's clearly in charge most of the time
The memes are false once again must not believe the internet anymore.

Totally 80's :

1. Doesn't mean it's subversive, it just means it's not gratuitous.
2. Of course it makes sense, but that doesn't mean it's subversive at all.
3.That's tremendous storytelling, it's not being subversive.
4.I always thought the Bechdel test was a dumb way to measure.
5.Yeah no.
6."Just about gets him killed", yeah, he freed himself by himself, he survived the crash, snatches Furiosa's car, pretty much gets them through entire journey, comes up with the master plan, saves the day a bunch of times including saving Furiosa, while he was only saved by Furiosa once, etc etc...not being the lone wolf, guess she didn't see Mad Max 2.
7. This I agree with.
There is gender equality in the movie, gender equality is not feminism, it stopped being feminism a long time ago, regardless, there's little here that we didn't see in Mad Max 2, social concept-wise... I feel so oppressed right now.
That's because Tom Hardy as Max is almost as forgettable as Hawkeye or AOU.
I'm just kidding...or am I?
I don't know how to say it without seeming offensive or disrespectful, but you have no idea what you're talking about. Feel free to reply to this, but for the sake of not bogging anything down or wasting time on deaf ears, I won't bother to continue this discussion. Glad you enjoyed the film, in any case.
Although i'm really liking the idea of Furiosa dying at the end.
: That was a thing? It would've been a crying shame imo, such a strong character.
She was, loved her.
But I'm more interested in building up Max's character than I am hers.
His name comes before "Fury Road" in the title.
Him honoring her death by finishing the mission would've made him the ultimate bad ass once again!
I guess I have to settle for just a cool dude.
