Van Zan 2.0
Work In Progress
I also wanted to share dchung's excellent Back to the Future paper props:
Can't wait to get the Marty McFly figure so I can start experimenting with display options.
Van Zan 2.0
Work In Progress
What makes this a 2.0?
- Battle Damaged head sculpt and paint-job.
- New boots.
- New vest with pockets
- New ax with more detail
Really LOVE the new paint-up (Skiman rules! ) and IKE-Con's detail work on the ax is fantastic.
The reason this is a "Work In Progress" is all thanks to the vest. The zipper is broken and I have yet to figure our what to do about it. The teeth are all clogged with super glue and I don't know if I'll be able to clean them enough to get them to catch. I could glue the zipper together, but then I would have a stiff immovable line up the front of the vest. If I can't get it to close normally, I will most likely sew the zipper shut, which will keep it flexible, while also leaving the option to undo it for removal.
Must compliment about the way you workaround and try to get the best out of your figures!
Thanks a lot for the tips Mag! All my pics wind up looking like toys. I am always looking to take pics that don't look like figures. Thanks again!
Inspiring shots, Mag
I like your Batman shoot. He's the perfect character when working with shadows. That's part of his theme.
Fantastic figure!
I like that set-up with the poster. Very cool.
Love all the variation pix of batman and I'm looking forward to see the back to the future pix.

That Van Zan is such an excellent custom, Mag!!
Great shots of him and Bats
really cool setup...love the floating shelves
Bad Ass pose man.
Damn, if not for the one arm joint showing, at first glance he looks
like he's real.
As far as the vest. I think with a small exacto knife you could clean out around the zipper teeth one by one.
For the record, I'm sewing mine up.. I don't think there would be a reason for the vest to ever need to come off.
But that's just me.
He looks great though. Are the eye's painted slightly looking up?
I didn't notice that before. It lends to the whole Van Zan character.
Gives him a little swagger!
great !!! you got superman .
Isn't it Awesome ?
