A sweet figure... Sadly I am too late to get in on the SS Joes, would cost me too much to try and get all the older ones... But I dont know if I will be able to pass up Cobra Commander and the Baroness...

Actually, I got into the line late last year, and I got most of the figures at and below original price, except for Firefly, Beachhead and Stormshadow. Several - including some exclusives - I actually got great deals on below original retail!

Anyway, robotic hand COMPLETELY SHATTERED into two halves, thumb and four fingers. Put it back together, but when put on the wrist joint peg, it just opens up again, goes limp and falls off.

Gotta call Sideshow tomorrow and see about a replacement hand and wrist joint peg (already connected). The hole in the robotic hand is too small to fit over the peg on the wrist joint peg. Sheesh!

Gotta admit: I'm a little underwhelmed by this figure. The knees are so bad. He really has trouble standing up straight. He leans to one side, like the robot arm is weighing him down. Rather than an Excl headsculpt, I wish they'd given us an Excl "armored normal arm" instead.

Also, mine didn't come with the "Exclusive snap-on augmented optic" for the helmet. Did anyone else get theirs, or did Sideshow drop it from the figure?

Box is bent pretty badly where the magnets belong.

Box art itself is gorgeous, but I still prefer the larger size of the older releases.

On the plus side, his uniform and especially his holster rig/belt/belt buckle is fantastic. Absolute perfection to me. The boots are great too. Definitely building on Hawk and Zartan's look. If we ever get a Wild Bill, they'll use Bludd's boots for sure.

Can anyone tell me what the last figure was that came with ratchet knees? I think that is likely the only option to correct these weak rubber knees. thanks

No idea. I heard it rattling around inside the brown shipper.

So: if this happens to anyone else, you might want to video your inbox ing as proof that you didn't break it.

Got it. Solid figure, knees not withstanding. Much prefer the exclusive sculpt. Its larger, better paint apps and a better overall shape. Made a patch for it. Overall its a good release, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm underwhelmed. I don't think its because of the quality of the figure, the are not quality control issues with mine, but I do feel a little "meh" about it. Could be the year plus wait, I don't know. Anyway, here's some shots with the exclusive head.

Mine is flawless, and my less than stellar review is no reflect on the product. Sideshow did an excellent job. Its really well engineered, the robotic arm and hand are solid and tight on mine. The sculpts are really nice, and the paint apps on everything are clean, no slop. The armor, backpack, rockets and rocket launcher are all nice. The knees are the only draw back of the figure, but if you work them back and forth and get the joints moving the figure can be made to stand well on its own.

I agree with King in regards to the paint and uniform. But I'm also underwhelmed. Maybe it's the Frankenstein hand. You can just tell it's ridiculously bigger than it needed to been.

King: did your Exclusive come with the "snap-on optical viewer"?????

Teemu: I can't say they are or are not using "cheap glue". But now that we've had 2 confirmed broken hands, out of how many that have been received, it definitely points to a fragile design....

I thought it was dead eye sans eye patch.

Yes it can. TA has 'em broken down but you have to buy it in 2 parts: gun with holster and just hip holster-carrier with belt.

the more I spend time with this guy the more i like him. That said, I want to take a crack at trying to port his arm to a TT...unless someone out there knows for certain that I am wasting my time. If so, please let a brother know before I ruin things. Thanks.

You can do it but I recommend an older true type.

thanks for the reply. I think I only have the newer bodies left but I have sued some old TTs on prior Joes. I'll take a shot and post my results if anyone is interested.
