i wouldn't undo what the umpire called, because of the pandoras box it would open to undoing plays that cost games and victories.

that said, its just a personal achievement and theres nothing wrong with adding his name to the record books as a perfect game by putting an asterix on it.

Yup. Just put an * next to it... :lol

You're either in or not. That asterix nonsense is junk. Just look at what they did with Roger Maris.

Well here's how The Iron Sheik feels about the whole thing.

I take it he's a Tiger fan. :lol

Almost half way through the season and the AL East looks like it's going to be a dogfight to the end.

If Beckett comes back strong, I think the Sox have a good chance of taking the division based on how the rest of the staff has pitched over the last month.

The clip of him on Howard Stern is hilarious!.

I met Iron Sheik about 2 months ago at a shoot interview taping run by John Cena's Dad, John Cena Sr in Melrose, MA. Sheik is actually a pretty nice guy. Thought he'd pull more of the same stuff you see in that clip...but he was relatively normal. He only went off during the beginning when he was talking about his flight from his home in Atlanta.

Val, you are right. He is hilarious on Stern. Loved it when Artie dressed up as Iron Sheik Jr to get Sheik really pissed.

Big bump for the pennant races. All three National League races should be good down to the end. I think all the AL divisions are pretty secure, but the Wild Card should be fun between Boston, Tampa, Minnesota/CWS, and hell even Toronto is showing signs of life.

Already watching Daisuke blowing it up at the moment. Sound investment he was...

This season has been rough. I expected much more from the Rockies. Hopefully we make it a race.

The Rockies weren't that bad this year, until the All Star Game and then they lost a ton coming off the break. Still they are only 5 back in the WC, and 6.5 in the not so tough NL West.

They don't quite need a run like their other worldly 2007 finish, but I think they could be a surprise down the stretch.

the reds are hangin in there

I thought they'd fall off a couple months ago. Surprised that they've been neck and neck with the Cards for what....3 months straight. They have certainly proved themselves.

Jays have been ripping tits as of late.

Jose Bautista leading the Majors in HR's and Brandon Morrow's near perfect game the other night against the Rays, we raped the Yankees the series before as well.

Too bad our division is so competitive, we have a solid team.

The Rox aren't a bad team by any means, but the expectation of this year was to compete for the division title and we're 7 games back. I'll have to call you on the "not so tough NL west". Its an EXTREMELY tough division, thats why there are 4 of the 5 teams are still in the playoff race. Even the Dodgers are sticking around. The teams are very evenly matched, so they beat each other up, but I'll pit the Padres, Giants and Rockies against the Reds, Cardinals, and Braves and like the Wests chances.

I'm pullin' for the Reds 'cause I can't stand the Cards.

My Brewers have been out of it since day 1. :monkey2

Not gonna happen. My Cards have way too much for the Reds. We've been there done that along with having the best hitter in baseball. The Central is ours.
