Nice fight yesterday Reds! Brandon Phillips is an ass! Glad "The Phrancise" is on your team now! Tapping his bat on the catcher's shinguards....I'm glad Molina said something. He doesn't need to do that ____.

I like the Reds, but Phillips is a little _____!

Sorry....... :lol

I think Phillips was like 2-17 the entire series. All bark, no bite.

Johnny Cueto is a female.

Jim Edmunds and Scott Rolen, both former Cards, were hitless in the series.

The Cards are back in first.

Hey now, we just got off a seven game win streak and laid a beating on the Yanks in NY and swept the Rays at home.

Our division is the most competitive in both the A.L and N.L.

:( :lol

Every time i post love for my team, they get stomped.

True. Thats why I post after a Sox win... :lol:rotfl:lol

Jays need better pitching right now...but they are on the right track and doing better than most "experts" predicted at the beginning of the season. Those "experts" were saying the O's would have a better record after Halladay got traded to the Phils.

The thing about the Cards I don't like, isn't that they're consistently great, it's that they're constantly _____ing about everything going on in baseball. Everything is "bush-league" to them.

Pujols can stand there and watch his home runs before slowly trotting around the bases, but if any other player dares to look anywhere but the ground during a HR, St. Louis froths at their mouths.

Card pitchers can plunk batters left and right, but if somebody were to untuck their jersey after a victory, it's the end of the ____ing world.

St. Louis fans are always called "the greatest fans in baseball" but they don't think twice about booing their own players.

F the Cards and their "classy" fans.

Pot meet kettle.

Point taken, but I'm only _____ing about the Cards, not everybody else or every little thing in baseball. :pfft: :lol

:hi5:

It's all good man. It's funny, but I grew up in Brooklyn and was a Cards fan at the age of 6. Everyone around me was either Mets or Yankees(mostly Mets because of the 86 World Series, and the Yankees sucking eggs at everything except for Mattingly. I did like Jessie Barfield and Steve Balboni though). My mother picked up an Ozzie Smith glove, and from then on it was history. I used to travel to Shea and watch the Cards kick the Mets ass up and down the field. The trips to Shea turned into trips to Busch. I even stayed in St. Charles for a bit during a Summer in college.

Cards' fans ARE generally intelligent and some of the most passionate fans in baseball.

Hell, you won't find too many teams in ANY sport in a market that small that will fill a stadium against the Pirates regardless of win/loss record.

I remember when the Cards were stinking up the place, and our power hitters were Ray Lankford and Ron Gant :lol but Busch would still sell out.

That's a rarity in sports, and a rarity in today's economy. Cards fans are also respectful(see the reception Rolen and Edmunds get when they play their former team : ).

But sometimes, things happen where there is no gray area, just Black and White.

If Phillips wouldn't have made those comments hours before the game, I have no doubt that even touching Molina's pads, wouldn't have resorted into a problem. But making those comments, and then touching him? That's instigating, man. Granted, Molina could've been the bigger man, and did nothing...

What Phillips did, is like talking a ton of **** about a particular person that you were going to hang out with in a group of friends, and then stepping on the dude's shoes while you're hanging out. No comments = accident. But comments? That's just asking for trouble.

I don't know. I realize that I'm biased, but when you're a fan, who isn't?

:)

Are you confusing the Cards with the Yankees? :lol

He's gotta be cause it shows he knows jack ____ about the Cards or their fans.

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

St. Louis is just pissed because another player called 'em out for what everybody who isn't a sports announcer have been saying for years.

Tony LaRussa said:
We win the right way and we lose the right way. We’ve received a lot of compliments over the years that when we lose we tip our caps and when we win we keep our mouths shut. That’s my comment

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

I had to wipe tears from my face I was laughing so hard at this. I don't know about other teams, but every time the Brewers beat them (insert "which isn't often" crack here) all they did was _____ about Prince, or whine about untucked jerseys, or cry about close pitches.

The only compliments they receive is from sports announcers who live in la la land and want to make a sweet story for TV.

Tony LaRussa said:
Routinely now, hitters pop up a pitch that they think they should do something with and they start making noises. That really is disrespectful to the pitcher. Most of the pitchers just turn around and ignore it and Carp’ doesn’t. I think Carp is in the right. I think the respect should go both ways.

Carlos Lee said:
I guess he's allowed to yell and say anything he wants because when Lance got that hit, he was screaming and yelling and saying all kinds of stuff out there. But as a hitter, we can't get emotional? Why? I got a pitch to hit and got mad because I should have hit it and I popped it up. I got mad at myself.

I can't make this stuff up!

F the cards.

I never hear someone complain about the Cards in the Media. Everyone always talks about how great an organization they are and all that. Why? Cause our fans treat our players great as does the management. There's a reason why guys want to come play here.

I expect players on teams getting their ass kicked by us to hate us. As do I by fans who support teams that suck pretty much every year. Its all good.

I like the Cards, and respect that organization. A friend of mine asked me if I could be an owner of any professional team not including 1 of the large market teams, ie NY, LA, Chitown, etc and out of all leagues I said I'd own the Cardinals because of their dedicated fan base, history of the organization, etc.

The only thing I hate right now about the Cardinals is Tony LaRussa. He's a drunk a-hole hypocrit that I don't believe for 1 second on almost anything he says. His denial of knowing McGwire and Canseco were on the juice is ridiculous.
