sorry badmoon, but anyone watching the phillies on tv can see that the fans suck. i'm not just talking about the dregs that puke on people or run on the field, but even the rich guys sitting right behind homeplate.

cheering strikes 1 and 2 your pitcher throws as if it were strike 3 or worse cheering balls 1-3 the other team throws as if it were ball 4 is just completely LAME.

Well you got my point on the other issue I'm sure. However, I didn't know there was a correct way to cheer a baseball team. :dunno

there's certainly a classy way and a lame way. those fans fist bumping and high-fiving behind homeplate after a foul ball as if it was an out is more on the lame side, imo.

I don't think anyone can KO the Phillies IMO. Not with Hallady, Oswalt, and Hamels as your starting 3.

NO fracking way. The Phils take the series. :lecture

The Phillies look GREAT, there's no denying that...and i HATE Philadelphia sports more than anyone. The Phillies have been playing out of their minds. As everyone knows, what it all comes down to is getting hot at the right time. I know only time will tell, but just because they had a great September doesn't mean they are guaranteed to have a great October. It will be very tough for them to duplicate what they did in September in the post-season. But let's face it, the NL East ain't the AL East :)

Roy Halliday is arguably the best pitcher in baseball...but still, i wouldn't say he's BETTER than Cliff Lee. Can he duplicate what Cliff Lee did to the Yankees in the series last year? IMHO prob not. A Halliday - CC Sabathia matchup is a toss up.

Oswalt is very good, but i still take Andy Pettite over him in October everyday of the week.

Hamels is a weak quitter who had a GREAT September. He is on par with Phil Hughes and AJ Burnett (depending on which AJ shows up) :) The Yankees would tatoo Hamels again, doesn't scare me in the least bit.

in Baseball...You are never as good as you're playing...and you're never as bad as you're playing.

i'm excited for the playoffs, can't ya tell...it's gonna be fun :)

last time i checked, the Giants have the better pitching staff.........its the offense that is terribly inconsistent.

way to back in to the playoffs, braves! :yess: still, i'll take it! :rock

you guys are goin down :wave

the phillies have ripped my heart out a few times of late, in person even. I was at both 2009 playoff games where we blew it in the 9th. I was also at the Oct make up game where the Rox blew a 7 or 8 run lead. First game i left before the end in years. (I was also at the 2007 NLDS where the lights went out, literally, on the Phillies).

Anyway, I don't hate the Phillies nearly as much as i probably should. I give them props for keeping their players and adding on more. Love many of their players, Howard, Utley, Werth, Lidge, Cole Hammells...Rollins not so much. :lol

I actually like all the teams left in it to some degree.

Slowly coming to the realization that it may be a looooooooong time before the Brewers are in the post-season again. :monkey2

Not sure if we're going to lose Prince in the offseason or at the trade deadline next year. Not sure if it really matters either. :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

The Brewers need pitching bad. Hard to believe with some of the boppers on that squad how bad they were.

It's insane! Prince, Braun, and Corey Hart were all in the MLB top 25 for OPS. There is just no excuse. I can't believe (GM) Doug Melvin still has a job after putting together the 2010 pitching staff. :banghead

Sorry for the short whine; enjoy your October guys! :hi5:

 Please Baseball Gods, please let the San Francisco Giants win. For all of the die hard fans who have been cheering them on since they moved to the bay area like my father and my friends fathers who are now just hoping to see just one World Series title come to San Francisco before they die, just let them win.... We were disappointed by Willie McCovey lining out to Bobby Richardson in 1962, by the 1989 Earthquake and by Game 6 of the 2002 WS.... Please Baseball Gods, shine your light on Giant fans just this once.

All to left field!, this guy is ____ing awesome!.

My favorite of the bunch at 1:08 in black/home jersey.

Watching Bonds at the end felt so damn dirty.... Mind you, when he was in his prime, juice or not, he was something to behold.

:lecture Absolutely true. For a number of years he was arguably the best player in the league. Juice or no juice.

He has been unfairly targeted and been made a pariah while other guys are still playing after admitted use. When Alex Rodriguez starts creeping near the Bonds record will people harp nearly as much? I doubt it.
