baseball is stupid

"one strike away" is going to haunt the rangers for a loooooong time and might just kill feliz as a closer. he's so mentally fragile

when you reflect back its probably was destined to be this way because the fan died earlier this year and it would have been awkward if the Rangers won and celebrated happy, like the way in 2001 if the Yankees won while the city had all the dead from Twin Towers. this is why hockey and football cant pour the same emotions as baseball can.

TLR retiring marks the end of an era in Cardinal History. :monkey2

Looking at the rules, he could be on the ballot as early as next year for induction in 2013. Wow. :thud:
Time to make reservations for Cooperstown! :panic::yess:

Too bad you can't ban people for constantly making irrational comments.

someone on another forum I think it may have been spawn said that I reminded them of the Freedy Krueguer movie when this girl become a roach and was stuck in one of those honey boxes and he squished it, not sure why but it made me think of that after you mentioned this.

why did you get the hat if a couple of weeks those will be 60% off, and they will release ones with the world champions side patch instead?

too bad the patches on the hats now are such garbage quality back in the days I remember having the nice Braves ones where they were fully embroider and the glue was quality that the patch would not peel off

yah well maybe hes not aware of that because it happens here a lot, most peeps would pay full price to wear during the Series only then once its over all the championship shirts, fleeces and trinkets go for less than half off. I was just curious why if youre going to get this after it ends why just not wait a couple of more days until its on sale for around 20$?

It's been my experience over the last 10 years and 7 Boston titles that most championship stuff doesn't linger long enough reach clearance prices. If you see something you want jump on it now, rather than wait.

the further i am removed from the collapse of game 6, the more i realize how fortunate we are as ranger fans. here we are crying about losing back to back world series when it wasn't that long ago that a .500 season would be something to throw a parade over. the rangers have been a joke of a franchise for almost as long as i can remember(minus a nice run in the 90's) and now they are perennial contenders with a young nucleus and a wealth of talent in their minor leagues. we have some work to do in the off season(pitching, pitching, pitching) but i feel confident that we will be back soon.

any Mets fans here does it really matter?

"The fences are coming in at Citi Field next year.

The Mets announced Monday they are moving the walls in by as much as 12 feet next season, lowering the height to 8 feet and changing the color to blue."

^^^ Ozzie!

He is what made me a Cards fan all the way back in 1985. Then I started getting attached to other great Cardinals like Ray Lankford, Will Clark, Lee Smith, Brian Jordan, etc.

Still proud of what my favorite team accomplished this year.

Surely you mean Jack Clark....? Will was only there VERY shortly.

Is this stuff over now?

Srsly. Why does a sport need to play 150 games to determine a winner?

Because even the best teams lose 50 games. And the worst teams win 50 games. It takes those extra 62 games to figure out who is really tops. :lol

Did you wear your #1 jersey during the Series?
Also, not sure if you saw this, but M&N is having a 40% off all wool jerseys sale - Mitchell and Ness

man that is a great sale. i am a big fan of nostalgic baseball so even if my Rockies aren't represented in that site I will be getting something from a that sale for sure!
