Come on now, keep up. The discussion at hand is Na'vi vs. Predators, which is very serious business you know. People can post as many photoshopped pics as they want, but that's all they are: photoshops. If you go by what's presented in the films there is simply nothing to suggest a Predator could take a Na'vi. Jake even had the upper hand in a bare hand fight against an AMP Suit for crying out loud. Predators can't even survive one on one fights vs. puny human beings. Now Dutch in an Avatar body, that would be a potent mix.



All in good fun. I'll tell you this at least, Hot Toys is definitely going to be hard pressed to make Na'vi figures look as cool as the new Pred featured in this thread.

That's cheating ____! Predators vs. Na'vi wouldn't happen though. The Na'vi would be written off as the tree-hugging panty-wearing treehuggers they are and the Predators would just skip the planet in search of a real challenge. Well, maybe they'd be a challenge for the P2 Special Bus Predator...

As for the figs, yeah. I'm waiting to be blown away by the Avatar figures. I'm definitely in for a Jake (both human and Na'vi) and Quaritch and Neytiri and from the looks of this new Pred, they've set a hell of a bar to pass.

She's like 10 feet tall, I highly doubt any of those Preds would get much out of the experience .

Maybe they'd just rub it on the sides?

I still haven't seen Avatar...bought the Bluray awhile back and its just sat in the case.

It's not a bad movie. Nothing original, not by a long shot, and it didn't live up to the ridiculous Avatard hyping it got, but it's definitely a fun ride.

beautiful visuals and designs. thats as good as it gets.. the story is so cliche its pathetic. sad ____ing excuse for a movie when compared to the attention its getting.

Predators probably respect their forest, have a tribal society, are into spiritism etc...They are not that far of from the N'avi culture-wise except by being much more hard-boiled and using more advanced weaponry.

Native american warriors weren't hippies but respected their environment. When you live and breath the forest you got to be one tough individual. A lame hedonistic hippie won't survive for an hour in the jungle. You won't survive if you don't have a sense of respect.

When i look at a predator (P1 and P2) i see a tribalistic and ritualistic culture. A fuse between a nature based lifestyle and advanced technology.

They are hunters but that doesn't mean they don't respect their environment. Jungle hunter didn't become such a lean mean killing machine without his own jungle at home to practice in.

Huh!? Last time I watched Predator I didn't see any "lean mean killing machine". I saw a Predator that stayed invisible and sniped people off with a plasma cannon from the safety of the tree tops. And even hand to hand the first Predator remained cloaked. The only person we see him confront without his invisibility cloak is Arnold. And he loses that fight.
