Suckerpunch lmfao like that was EVER gonna be any good.
If Nolan wasn't attached to this pic he wouldn't be in here.
Sure he would. But he'd be trolling, "They should've let my god Nolan do this. Look at the epic Jesus he created with Batman."
Is it safe to assume the trailer we're getting with The Hobbit is the Comic Con one? As much as I'd like to see a new trailer, that CC trailer was so unbelievably awesome with the Thin Red Line score and everything. To have that in HD would be glorious.
My thoughts aswell. I loved the comic-con trailer, I hope Zimmer's soundtrack is similar to what he did with the thin red line.
There's no way the opening on this new one can match that. Every time I watch Superman The Movie the sound gets cranked up for the opening. Superman is my favorite movie theme.
Zimmerman reminds me of James Horner during the 80's and 90's. He re-used his own themes alot. You could listen to Aliens, Star Trek 2, Willow and Rocketeer and you will hear many of the same music cues.
In a sense Zimmerman was a fool to take the job. The option of honoring the old credits and playing the Superman march was taken off the table by the fanboi aneurysms following Superman Returns.
I still haven't seen Suckerpunch.
I have only one God, and it's not Nolan
Well there's no point reusing the old score if you're trying to reboot the franchise with a fresh take

Paraphrasing Avengers quotes?
I disagree. I think the Williams Superman theme is as much a part of the character now as the S or the Cape. Re-work it a bit for the new movie, rather than scrapping it. Like Bond.

No I don't even remember that line in Avengers
I disagree about the score. Hearing they score is instant reminder of CR supes. Not a good thing if you're trying to establish a new Superman
That comparison would be relevant if Connery was the only one to have played Bond and the franchise had a little blip ala SR in the 2000s, and was just seeing a reboot with Craig now
There was a time.
Lazenby and Moore used the same theme as Connery. Brosnan used the same theme as Moore (and Connery) after the Dalton blip, a gap, and a fresh reboot. Craig used the same theme as Brosnan on reboot.
Using the theme, or a variation on it, would simply make it an indelible part of the character ... as it ought to be.
