Re: The Man of Steel

Did you just say Homeboy, man?!
You got some guts.

Actually...if you would´ve read it right, you would´ve see that I DISLIKED THIS PARTICULAR score, due to re-usage.

And the whole movie was crap to.
But one does only see what he likes to see, right?!

Da Vinci Code score = Zimmer's greatest work u said so urself.

Here is some more Zimmer tunes I think

No wait that was Strauss, definitely Strauss - he used more than 2 notes :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Re: The Man of Steel

Yeah, right.
Hans Zimmer uses only 2 notes...like...totally...

:slap

Did you ever hear more Scores of Zimmer?!
Like Days of Thunder, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sherlock Holmes, or Inception?!

Extremly different scores and although I recognized recycling in structures from his scores...like Gladiator, to PotC, to DaVinci Code...I BET, any time of the day, that his Score for Man of Steel will be something truely special and different from Nolan´s Batman movies...

Re: The Man of Steel

You wrote 'Did you ever hear the scores of Zimmer...like days of thunder (lol)...and although I recognise recycling...Da vinci code' :dunno

Its cool if you like Zimmer mate, Hanks running around Paris with a french lady solving mysteries 'dooooooooo-DOOOOOOOO!' 'There is no crying in basebaaaaaaaaaall!'

No, obviously not.
You keep trolling and bull******* me over stuff you don´t have the slightest piece of knowledge about and don´t quote right.

I said ALTHOUGH I recognize recycling in......(several others)...... DaVinci Code..................I bet Man of steel will be great.
What´s so hard about to read right?!

I mean...no problem if you can´t read.
Just go to a special school and learn it.
There are people just like you.

But don´t troll if you don´t understand the words you see...

Re: The Man of Steel

No, you didn´t and it´s black on white here.

And now, like I said...get lost and don´t talk about stuff you don´t know **** about...

Re: The Man of Steel

There is no need for swears, this is a family establishment sir. I for one am interested to hear Zimmer's score for Man of Steel and I hope he manages to pay hommage to the JW Supes theme in between doo-DOOs.

Re: The Man of Steel

:lol

Yupp

Just like the majority who thought Nicholson Joker couldn't be topped, or the Elfman theme couldn't be topped. :lol

Actually I think Nicholson wasn´t topped, Ledger just brought another version.

Overall I think that, because of Ledger, TDK is WAY overrated.
Best movie out of the trilogy is and stays Batman Begins.

Re: The Man of Steel

Zimmer's scores for the Batman movies are ok. I don't think they're super special. I have all three on my iphone and mix them in but less so than say even something recent like the Lincoln soundtrack from Williams. I do think Ledger's Joker is a bit better than Nicholson's but I think its going to be really hard for CR Supes to be topped.

Right but most people today do in fact prefer Ledgers Joker (theres been quite a few internet polls on this) whilst most people people believed he couldn't top Nicholson before watching the film - that's my only point

Individual preferences will always vary of course

Re: The Man of Steel

Nicholson while good added too much Ceasar Romero in his role

I don't particularly think there was anything wrong with Nicholson's portrayal - he did a great, memorable job. I just think Ledger surpassed it

For what is was it was great but a little too campy...just a little...Ledger and the TDK was true Grittyness!...to me the more serious the better...

Agreed. I like most of Zimmer's work and his Batman scores are good, but they are insidiously overrated around here. INCEPTION remains his best work to date. And Williams' LINCOLN score makes TDKR its *****. :lol

Re: The Man of Steel

^ I think it's unfair to compare. One is an action score, and one is a drama score. Two different animals, with two different reasons for existing.

Re: The Man of Steel

Yeah, but they're both going to be judged, among others, as Best Original Score of 2012.

Surely you're not proposing we now have separate Score categories for different genres?

LINCOLN is simply a better, more nuanced, more masterful score than TDKR. Just like the film. I don't care that one is a historical drama and the other is a comic book movie that takes itself too seriously.
