Why does everyone want a movie to dominate another movie so badly? Can't we all just enjoy comic movies all the same and hope for the success of each and every one that's released?

Because Iron Man with all its humor and ill placed twist left such a bad impression on most of us the only way to get over it is for Man of Steel to show all the doubters what is has to offer.

My movie can beat up your movie.

Anything your movie can do mine can do better

WATCHMEN is better than 95% of other super hero movies out there. Don't make me punch your face off.

well I don't hate Watchmen just I built up so much hype in my mind it couldn't compare, probably because watchmen is my favorite graphic novel.

Theres always been hate over the changes. Its sad that one of the most faithful adaptions gets so much **** over a change that makes much more sense imo.

While some of the material does work better on the page, Watchmen was still a very good film and adaptation.

Watchmen is one of my faves. the costume work was outstanding and the absence of the giant quid worked better for the movie imo

I was joking, TLC is still a good movie and still Indy.

But where TLC is a good movie, Raiders is a bonafide classic.

Snyder has always struck me as a true fan of the comics he adapts, thats another reason I have such high hopes for MoS. Theres so many hacks making movies that do changes just to make changes, it really makes me appreciate Snyder being judicious with the changes he makes.

I saw a poster with Jor el and he had some sort of alien rifle I don't understand why, hopefully they don't change the mythos too much but every trailer does look better and better for the movie. Can't wait till June

.... sounds like they're going for some of the smallville mythos then.

Krypton was destroyed in part by Zod's war on krypton.

The planet was having trouble already, and the destruction brought about by Zod's war pushed it over the edge.

Remember that on Krypton they are not super.
Snyder's angle is to show that KRYPTON is not the idyllic society we've seen in the previous films but a world on the edge, maybe even at war with itself with soldiers and all.
And because of Kal El existence contradicts the established order JOR-EL needs to protect his family.

the scene with him inside the skulls and the heat vision look awesome, hope this isn't as bad as sucker punch or watchmen.
