Karen Page!

Deborah-Ann-Woll.jpg

A True Blood actress has found her next gig, and it’s a big one: Deborah Ann Woll has landed the female lead in Marvel’s upcoming Daredevil series, sources say. With HBO’s vampire drama coming to a close this year, Woll has signed on to play Karen Page in the Netflix-distributed series.

I don’t know if she’s talented, but she’s certainly easy on the eyes :naughty

I'm sold! She deserves an oscar just for that gif clip.

I think Marvel needs to pull a War Machine with Crossbones and recast Brock Rumlow. Then, they can give Frank Grillo his own Netflix series as The Punisher.:lecture

Exactly. Did you see that movie, by the way? I thought it looked like deep fried horse turds, but I friggin' loved it. The title of io9's review called it "Idiocracy starring The Punisher," and it's so true. You've got the badass action hero, bent on revenge, the over-the-top plot line that actually is a satire of serious socio-economic issues rooted in our culture, and, then, you've got Michael K. Williams as some ridiculously over-the-top leader of the rebellion, complete with a Beret and Coke bottle spectacles. Seriously, they could've showed "The Purge: Anarchy" as part of a double feature with "They Live!" and they wouldn't skip a beat.

Point still stands, though; The Purge showed me how utterly perfect Grillo would be for The Punisher. Hell, it's not like we'll ever need to see Rumlow's face, anymore, anyway.:lol

:exactly:
And honestly, if Crossbones shows up, unless they make specific reference to who he was in TWS, how many 'normies'...er I mean casual movie goers will even realize who he was? :lol

Cool, can't wait to see how the suit looks. Kinda expecting it to look like afflecks but I'm fine with that.

Yup, if you weren't convinced before, this ought to do it. D'Onofrio IS The Kingpin.

Seriously, those Marvel folks; they're geniuses.

I'm serious, though. There's good casting, and then there's that. It's probably unintentional, but they say a picture's worth a thousand words, and that looks like Wilson Fisk standing there. Not just the build and the look, but even his facial expression. It's like "these morons have no idea who I really am." There's a smugness to it. I highly doubt that's what was actually going through D'Onofrio's mind (unless he's going full blown method), but, I don't know, it just seems fantastic. Especially with RDJ in the foreground, it's like Fisk is rubbing shoulders with the upper crest of the MCU and they don't even know it.:lol
