This may come as a shock to you, but about 95% of the statues on the market have a pose similar to another statue.

I know many of us who are actually ordering DD want him to go with Punisher and I know Height is a concern so I did real quick mock up. I won't give my opinion I'll just let you guys have it.

It's more than likely how I'll have him posed when I get him, one of the reason I chose that pic.

That is the direction that Sideshow is going admittedly. At first they didn't listen to fan feedback when it came to design, now its welcomed but they pride themselves on re-using designs. That's what was mentioned on the internet. As someone that has accumulated points and takes this hobby seriously I don't find it acceptable that they re-hash what appears to look like carbon copies of the same statue for characters that are inherently different. I think thats what takes the fun out of collecting.

Just wait for more competition and SS will change it's way. At the end of the day it is all about the $

This isn't particularly about this PF, nor have I read the lasts several pages of posts so no offense to anybody...

But setting aside opinions of whether a sculpt is good or not, if SS went the way of no EX it'd decide who really loves the statues and/or characters vs who just wants exclusive things with smaller numbers. If you wouldn't buy a statue that you actually liked because there's no EX anymore (and we don't know if this is truly the way SS is going) then these probably aren't the right thing for you to collect anyway. It's just a throwaway hobby at that point, not a passion, and anything not a passion isn't worth being a hobby in the first place. You'd probably quit for some reason or another anyway. Since 2011 I've seen lot of active participants on this forum go... If you don't genuinely love the characters or the art aspect of it you too will be selling off your collection soon enough! Random rant over.

If anything having the option of an EX might persuade someone to buy a statue they are on the fence about, but I have never heard of someone passing on a statue they loved because of the lack of an EX. People who like daredevil but not to crazy about the statue might be persuaded to buy it because of the bonus an EX brings to it.

Honestly what would make this different from a Flash PF aside from the base and costume. Daredevils superohero qualities have nothing to do with running a marathon

A few tweaks and some paint and you could have the DC hero Wildcat.

Daredevil's one of my favorite characters but this statue isnt doing it for me. Maybe if they come out with the yellow and black suit.

Well got home from work. Saw the preview pics and ordered. Not going to regret this purchase at all. As for if we buy crappy sculpts arguments. Not buying any DD statues will help ensure no more DD statues. If buying him now gets us an even better statue down the line I'm cool with that. Now let me pre order my PF Vader and I'm set for the year.

not really liking this one, no exclusive sucks, and the fact that even before the size comparison that I just saw he looked to be on the small size already.

oh yeah the statue, other than the base, just screams boring to me.......imo. So I wont be ordering him, and if I do choose to order him later with no exclusive he will be easy to find I'm sure. oh damn I just sounded like CBG.........
