Marvel PF's (Lines which SSC should consider besides the X-Men)

I don't think that I'd be for an ALL X-men line and quite honestly, I don't think that Sideshow could afford to do that. However, there are some 'X' characters, among others, that are long overdue. The Emma PF was pretty much unexpected, but I don't think that it means Sideshow is about to go on an X-binge.

I don't recall pointing out the many sour grapes you have posted in the past. This is not sour grapes its simply pointing out a fact that there is more than X-men in the Marvel Universe.

Your absolutely right, I have posted several complaints about Sideshow's goofy comiquette/PF choices and I even made a snide comment about Sideshow's SDCC Marvel EX (which I apologized for on once I saw how the post came out). I really don't like or want AH! comiquettes, yet I never made an entire thread to say that we shouldn't have them and I know they are popular. Why not point out that there is more than the Avengers since we have Captain America, Thor, IM, and Hulk? Seriously, if you think about the PF/Comiquette lines, the Avengers got the majority of their key characters, Spiderman, Punisher, Hulk. Yes, fans deserve a Daredevil. Yet Marvel's #2 has...Wolverine.

And I don't think I was making any personal assumptions about you. 90% of the time we agree in threads and you have always been friendly. I was making an assumption about creating an entire thread just to make it known that you do not want an X-Men PF line when we don't even know if that is what Sideshow has planned.

As for a Cyclops PF...I really hope it's based off of John Cassaday's Astonishing X-Men design.

Well the fact they have already produced him in the dio might mean you get a different version I think Jim Lee. I would prefer the Ashonishing or Classic myself. Never been a fan of all those utility belts JL drew. Plus the costume is very similar to Cables.

Lee's art is fantastic but those belts left me thinking Rob Liefield.

Yeah, JL did put those belts to a lot of the X-Men characters and while it made their costumes more consistent, it just didn't look good for some characters (Cyclops being the prime example). The Astonishing X-Men costumes are pretty good, except for Wolverine's. Jim Lee's brown costume for Wolvie is still the best representation for me (just look at how awesome the Wolvie vs Sabretooth Dio is).

I like the brown costume myself...when John Bryne first introduced the brown & tan suit waaaaay back in Uncanny X-Men 139-140, I thought it was the coolest!

When John Cassaday went back to the original blue & yellow costume for Astonishing X-Men, I loved it for sentimental reasons!

So I'm reading this thread for the first time, and I don't mean to be rude (if that's how this sounds), but why would Marvel fans say "no" to a X-Men PF line, when in many aspects the X-Men ARE Marvel?

Mike, you've pretty much hit on all of the points as far as I'm concerned and I couldn't agree more. (Another Tony Stark/Jericho pic is in order if you ask me. )

too. Per the different lines x-men have had their fair share

Diorama Line - 3 x-men v Sentinel, psylocke Dio. That's four so far

ComiQ - Magneto, Wolverine, X-23, White Queen, Rogue, Black Queen and Mystique announced.

Premium Formats - Logan, Mystique, Emma Frost

Maquettes - Juggernaut and Beast.

I think X-men fans are doing very well. There is simply no need for them to dominate the Marvel line as suggested in another thread.

As a Spidey fan all we have got is 1 Dio, A PF, 1:1 bust which was not all that great and MJ. Seem unbalanced. Even his rogues gallery has only had Venom LSB and Carnage. None of his classic foes. Maybe the Venom comiquettes will rewrite the
balance of non McFarlane Venoms.

That is a lot of SS Spider-Man product as well. You may not care for them but they are out there as well.

There are also the multiple versions of the PF, Green Goblin PF, two versions of the Spider-Man VS Venom busts, the 1:1 Symbiote and Venom busts, Doc Ock Archive set and numerous Spider-Man 3 busts and statues plus the SM3 VS diorama plus the AH Black Cat.

Edit: I see The Mike beat me to the list of Spider-Man product! He missed the Green Goblin PF though.

I think if Sideshow makes the following, alot of people would be really happy since these seem to be the largest fan requests that I see:

• Cyclops
• Daredevil
• Silver Surfer
• Thanos
• Gambit/Colossus

IMHO, I think Sideshow caused alot of the frustration felt on most statue boards because it has been SO long since they released a comiquette/PF of a character that the bulk of fans have actually requested so alot of Sideshow fans are simply getting angry and impatient for ANY of their favorites to be released. With Emma being released, I REALLY hope this is the beginning of a new set of key characters such as the ones above.

SS has been slow going with the main Marvel characters in 1/4 scale because soon after 1:2 Iron Man is officially out the gate, they're going to announce that Emma and Venom will be their last 1/4 scale pieces and that everything after them will all be 1:2 scale PFs or Comi's and then they make their big reveal to the traumatized collectors that it wasn't only IM that they were working on and open the curtains for all to gaze upon their 1:2 scale:
