It's content. Keeps you numb and distracted until the next content. All theses streaming services and shows just feels like one big distraction. It's like some They Live ****.
It does feel like a bread crumb trail to nowhere.
They fill these shows with codes and cues and call-backs so the fan-detective can find them. Like that Space Jam commercial full of background icons or Taylor Swift's video of codes to decipher... just to get her track titles.
You ever see A Christmas Story where Ralph deciphers a code on a box of cereal just to uncover a commercial. These things are totally like that.
And fans prescribe deep-meaning to this. Its not deep-meaning... its marketing.
