Vulture is a better villain than Goblin, the lizard and the lizard. The vulture turned to crime because of circumstance and to provide for his family. He's not a 9 to fiver. salvaging equipment is what he did best and he always used that to pay the bills. If the government were smart they would have just hired him to salvage stuff. Like I said before, what did the Goblin want in the first Spidey film? Doctor Octopus wanted to recreate his machine hopefully for the better, but oops. Spidey 3 villains ? Venom was angry at spidey for tearing it off and Sandman just wanted Spidey out of the picture so he could steal money. The Lizard wanted to turn everyone into Lizards, so he was just a crazy scientist. Electro wanted power because he had been taken advantage of his whole life and his teeth were gappy.. And that last green goblin, WTF??? So yeah, vulture was a great villain.

I do think Keaton was one meaty scene short of earning him top spot on the MCU villain list.

He was definately good but needed something to push him over into greatness and it never came.

The climax battle didn't do anyone any favors it was a mess.

I thought Spider-Man trying to save vulture was an epic scene. It shows how desperate he is to save someone who is in danger. The fight was bland but that scene was powerful imo.

I find most of the climax battles in MCU to be kinda messy and overdone, to be honest.

I did like how they wound up on Coney Island for the final fight. Was a nice touch.

What stops me from falling in line with this is that I enjoyed the action a bit more than you.

I would say that every Spiderman movie so far has had their share of good and bad. .

Spidey's theme is pretty good in this as was Vultures theme.

But I still prefer the music from Raimi's trilogy.

Yeah If I liked the action more then I would be right with you... I agree also about all the Spidey films being filled with good and bad.

I actually have always liked Horner's Music and theme for TAS and feel it's the best the series has to offer. Very heroic and hopeful. Zimmer's score for the second film is my second fav Spider-man theme... Though it boarders on corny I still think its a good Hero theme.

Elfman's score for the Rami trilogy is good but parts of the spider-man theme sounds very much like "Somewhere" from West Side Story and that takes me out of it a bit.

I am watching TAS right now. Spider-man effects are still great overall... I think these two films get too much hate. Yes they are far from perfect but in some ways I like them better then the Rami films. Garfield's and Stone's chemistry is great and is the best thing in any of the Spider-man films IMO.

I have not watched part 2 since the theater so I am curious to see how I feel about that one.

Edit: Just finished watching TAS. Man that 3rd act really drags the film down a lot. But I love the score, cast, and overall look to the film. CGI for Spidey does look off and goofy at times but still better overall then the new one IMO....

I think if Homecoming had a score or at least a hero theme like this one it really would have helped me enjoy it more.

Again we pretty much agree... However I think he is the top villain in the MCU

He was one great scene from almost making him the greatest villain in any comic film.

Ah who am I kidding... Nobody will probably ever touch Heath.

Sinister Six film for the next Spidey although wish Raimi did it

I hope they do it

I thought it was interesting that
When he was in Washington at the top of the monument he seemed a little scared of heights, but at the end of the movie he was web swinging to the top of Avengers tower.
In Washington, there wasn't much for him to swing from if he fell. I actually liked that scene because I felt scared for him too

Saw it.

Liked it. :rock

I really enjoyed seeing Holland as Spider-Man and I hope we see him for a while.

Keaton/Vulture may have been my favorite thing about this movie.

For those that Have seen both which reveal was better, who Ares was in Whonder Woman or the Vulture's at the end of Homecoming?

Just returned from 2nd viewing, the movie holds up wonderfully.

Lots of laugh in the packed theater.

I can now say the ending with
aunt May cursing
is now my favorite MCU ending, very funny.

Humor works wonders.

Anyways I still think the end battle is too messy.

I do agree that Raimi's movies had more at stake for Spiderman.

Think about it if Spiderman just leaves Vulture alone all Vulture is going to do is keep stealing, not the end of the world and certainly no danger to Peter.

Also why doesn't vulture just use that door creating gadget on a bank to steal money why even bother with stealing rare items then having to build weapons and then having to find buyers.

Just use that gadget on a bank vault and steal unmarked cash, instant wealth.

That's easy. In his warped view he is still very much a 'family man' running a quasi legitimate business.

He's not a common thief, he's just doing what he deems necessary to keep his work going, ultimately for his family.

Plus, the whole 'smaller stakes' things is exactly why this film works. Peter finding his powers whilst still a kid and trying to 'save the world' just would not fit.

The fact this was more grounded and lower stakes is one of the things I loved most about it.

I think the Spiderman scenes in the 2 ASM movies are fun to watch but that's about it for them lol

ASM2 3D is amaze balls, much better than Homecoming.

Correct, Ledger Joker remains king of comic book movie villains.

For those that Have seen both which reveal was better, who Ares was in Whonder Woman or the Vulture's at the end of Homecoming?

I enjoyed Ares reveal but Keaton's reveal is now the one to beat.

Yeah I guess that works, I also see it as his way of getting revenge back at the people who took his livelihood away.

Heath? Comic book villains? He's allright, but Cesar romero tops the list for me LOL.

The Ares reveal was ok. Although my friends saw it a mile away lol. The Keaton one was done so great. Not only that but the scenes that followed. Loved it. On a side note im gad there wasnt a giant beam or cgi minster at the end LOL (not a spoiler right?)

I like SM2 way more but this was pretty good.

Holland is a good Parker and Spidey but a bit too hyper. The CGI was well done in most areas. Vulture was kewl, I'd rank him right under Doc Oct. Glad Iron Man wasn't in it too much. Happy was not annoying for once. Love the WTF ending. 'Karen' was neat as well as Spidey having an Oracle but it's not really needed. And the very end credits scene: Captain America calling all of us losers while wearing that god awful Avengers outfit. :lol

lol at running across the golf course.

Things that bugged me: No real music theme besides the old school one. Spidey was way more polished with his abilities in Civil War, which takes place before this. That chick is going to be Mary Jane Watson?? Uggg. M. Night Shyamalan as Flash. Really, this guy is Parkers bully? Paltrow is such a wacked out fruitcake but is still hawt. Final Fight was a bit weak.

I think about a 8/10 now prolly 7.5 later once it settles.
Wife was indifferent. Doesn't think Holland is cute and thought all the girls in it were blah. She wanted to see RDJ all 80's again. :lol

For those that Have seen both which reveal was better, who Ares was in Whonder Woman or the Vulture's at the end of Homecoming?

Ares.

While I didnt see the Vulture twist coming either, I think they made the girls race different JUST for the twist, which is lame.

I enjoyed it a lot. There are some certain nit-picks about it that annoyed me, but overall I thought it was a good movie. It was as good as I was expecting.

Would a handsome kid like Tom Holland with ripped abs, nice hair and no glasses really be an unpopular awkward kid in school who is the joke of a party?

The answer is no, that boy would easily be getting all the girls in real life.

If Marvel really wanted to do something different they should've had the nerds bullying on Parker for being too good looking for a smart guy, being jealous of his good looks.

That indian kid picking on him made no freaking sense unless he was jealous of his good looks but I doubt that was it.
