Insufferable S.O.B.
Hey now, didn't say I agree 100% I just hold is thoughts higher than others.
Me and you like our schlock.
Me and you like our schlock.
I haven't seen your opinion about this one, Riddick (I only read back a few pages), but I do understand and acknowledge that this movie is extremely conventional from a narrative standpoint, and is meant to be a crowd pleaser first and foremost. But sometimes that's OK. It's like jazz music. You can have someone who comes on the scene with a totally new, creative approach like Thelonious Monk who is amazing because he tosses all convention aside. Or, you can have someone like Frank Sinatra, who is only interested in putting together an entertaining product for the masses by doing the best possible job in a very conventional framework. Both can be great, for different reasons. You wound me, Kara...
Well Kara's opinion of men in tights flicks does hold the most credit to me from all the 'Freaks here.....
Well, I just got back from seeing this. . .
My favorite comic book movie in a long time. I liked it better than Logan. Possibly beats out Spidey 2 as my favorite Spider-Man film, and it's probably my favorite Marvel Studios-involved film, though that could change if I give it some breathing space. Spidey and the X-Men were always my favorite Marvel comics, and as a life-long Spidey fan, everything was so great. I think this is the best Peter Parker we've had, Spidey was handled as well as he's been handled, we got straight to the meat without the origin story weighing things down again, terrific villain, teens I liked and could relate to (I was on the quiz team in high school), good humor, really good action, Stark was used very well and not overdone as I feared he would be, story played out very nicely and wasn't overly convoluted or misguided as we've seen with previous Spidey films. And most importantly, the mother****ing English Beat was on the soundtrack. 9/10
Caliban and Flash were working together the whole time! It all starts making sense.

But there is always subjectivity here. If you just can't understand the motivations of the filmmaker, and can't relate to the characters onscreen, then the movie probably won't work for you no matter what.
15 year old kiddish, GTFO!
Usually most 15 year olds are running Goldman Sachs already, yup the movie sucks.
Never thought that one day someone would compare me to an alien from "They Live"...
I guess it's time to stop postin' on the internet for a while.
You promise?
Wait you didn't like this? Stop the presses- a non-DC film you didn't like??
Well SH officially has the worst 2nd weekend drop of all the MCU movies at 62%.
What does that say about Apes since SH jumped back to the # 1 spot the last few days lol.
Yup we're done with Apes, Godzilla might have to fight WW.
But Spidey has nothing to worry about when compared to that Valerian movie 200 million budget and predicted 17 milion opening....holy crap heads are certainly going to roll there.
Oh that's right 5th Element was also hated on release then became. . .
