I love how everyone is leaving out that Spidey had a ton of help with Marvel marketing Iron Man all over every poster and trailer. Every movie Iron Man has showed up in since the Avengers has made over a billion dollars.

Maybe the word of mouth did indeed hurt this movie, or maybe the competition from other movies hurt it, or maybe it's superhero fatigue, maybe a lack of repeat viewings. The movie is kinda long.

Its all of the above but I think you can only play that card so often this would be the 6 spiderman movie 3 actor to play it. There is only so much the general audience will actually go an pay for. Its making less money the previous 2 movies that sony made by themselves, making it part of the MCU is not a sure fire trick to making a ton of money.

The comic book market is getting full with so many movies coming out it going to get harder to market your product before when these comicbook movies were a rarity people would should up now and the way the movies are basically TV show with a big budget you can skip a movie and pick up in the next one.

Saw it. Hard to get pumped from that bootlegish vid.

But Thanos without his classic armor sportin' a baldy?

I was happy just to get a peek. But

When I saw Thanos it reminded me of Obadiah Stane. Who I always thought was an amazing baddie.
Now I can't get that out of my head tho.

Me too, to kill the curiosity, but it'll be way more impactful when we see the real deal.

I smell the outrage coming if he doesn't appear in his classic armor and HT doesn't make a fig that's close the GotG Thanos, but with the gauntlet

I was thinking more like a live-action He-Man/She-Ra episode. I'm going to laugh if Thor throws all the bad guys into mud puddles and then turns to the camera at the end to tell kids to clean their rooms or something. Yes I realize that this would be many people's worst nightmare but I at least am totally on board. :lol

i thought these guys would fit right in to thors latest outing :lol

Conehumming...? Just OK?

Yeah I was surprised, also didn't get the love for Keaton, he was a decent villain, decent. I guess we're starved for a good villain since MCU's are usually so lame.

Liked all the cast, I also liked that it was a smaller story with no doomsday device.

Definitely WW levels of overhype.

I feel they're the same, honestly, HC has slightly better performances, but WW has slightly better cinematography, but HC has better action, both have crap CGI.

I don't seem to be able to form a strong opinion on either.

If I had to choose to re-watch either, I'd just flip a coin or something.

Ah, gotcha. Homecoming got like a 93% or something right? Remember that's just supposedly the percentage of people who said it was "good." It doesn't mean they thought it was great or that the movie itself was a 93/100. I'd probably agree that it was about WW's level of quality. Better cinematography in WW (by far) as you say, also better action. SH had the better villain and cast and an overall feel that was more fun. I'm guessing that SH will be the better "background" movie.

But like WW it's yet another 2017 blockbuster that I enjoyed but am in no hurry to revisit anytime soon.
